Coin gain gets more and more unbalanced as you progress. Right now each time I charge my heroes I get a million coins and even with the heroes which improve coin gain multiplier from just matching, I'm getting a few thousand for decent matches. Btw, idle match coin multiplier and matching 5+ orbs doesn't stack or idle coin matching mult just doesn't work. Also, ooze costs are too high for the heroes to the right of the upgrades screen. It takes over 1 million ooze to upgrade from 60->61 for a tiny coin multiplier boost for matching orbs under the canister, an obscure and worthless upgrade. The rewards for matching under the canister should be vastly improved, to incentivize upgrading those heroes. Also, ooze rewards from killing bosses vastly overshadow the pitiful ooze gain from matching/canisters, it should be evened out more.
Idle multipler and 5+ orbs appears to be working for me. Can you double check? I'm considering replacing the final power (coins under ooze jars) with a crit% chance for dealing damage
I would like it so that I don't have to wait for all the color orbs slowly get absorbed by my units before letting me click on another color group. This results in a small delay which gets larger the more units I have on screen and the larger my combo is. This makes the game feel much less responsive when actively playing.
I'll look into reducing that delay. [edit: it looks like i can remove it, i'm letting the game play itself at super speed for a few hours to make sure it doesn't break]
For everyone complaining about flight paths: you can buy flight paths with only in-game money as long as the resulting routes create max two links to either city. In otherwords, you can have links as long as they don't exceed 2 so you can connect to all cities in one long path. Having said that, I really dislike how in the main quest I need to wait, yes wait in real time for 72 minutes on the main quest. Really?
I've been enjoying this game so far, but I've suddenly hit a spike in difficulty. I'm currently on level 16 and I can't even beat an easy stage to grind for more silver and cards. A few levels ago I was able to reach stage 40 sometimes in a hard stage but now an easy stage is all but impossible for me. Is there a way to allow me to grind at an easlier point in time?
I feel the game does a poor job of explaining "reaction landings" which is why people are complaining. The way to gain speed is to get "reaction landings" which is when you press left or right just before landing. If you press the key in the same direction/angle you approached the asteroid at, you will keep your momentum and launch faster. You can crush asteroids by crushing them by holding the up key. It's best to crush any of the smaller asteroids since they won't slow you as much and if you're going fast it's a lot harder to control where you're going after a reaction landing. It's quite fun once you realize this, and it's all a matter of keeping your combo up. One last tip is to aim for the edge of an asteroid as it's really easy to get a reaction landing that way and gain speed. Good luck.
I think people expect every game to be easy and beatable right off the bat and don't want to put any extra time or effort into it. I'm sure a bullet hell type of game doesn't appeal to everyone, but I found it extremely satisfying after putting about an hour or two just practicing against Atropos to finally beat him. Sure I may have been destroyed after just a few volleys at first, but over time I learned the patterns managed to finally beat him. I hate how people are probably just giving a low rating because it's difficult, but for me this is a 5/5 for sure.
I've reached the 4th city and I've had no trouble at all reaching this point so far, and have more money than I need, only thing that's limiting me is waiting for more good items in the shop ( have 16k, most expensive items are about 2k). In contrast, I need to spend over 155k to get a level 20 slave? Uh, I really hope that gets balanced. Other than that, it gets easy after you get basic armor on your guys and just becomes a grindfest. Gets boring when all you need to do is spam armor break and strong attacks to the head or body (if you rip off their limbs watch them take forever to bleed out). There needs to be a rebalancing for body part hp/armor because I would rather not go through 2 sets of armor to kill them through limbs as opposed to a KO if I just go for the head.
I didn't bother building any buildings and kept blowing stuff up, and then I realized that the whole point of mining was to get money for building a town. The game should be a bit clearer on what you need to do but once I got things down, it became a really fun game.
I don't think any of their testers even got as far as the final fight or did they just expect you to never make it that far? The grid is frustratingly small, there are too many bars of "armor" for the later 3v1 fights and you'll have to take out one guy (7 bars) in 1-2 turns to survive. I managed to beat it ONLY because of the 2x damage buff from the trophy shop and even then had troubles. Trust me, it's the only thing worth buying otherwise I'd have been stuck grinding for hours.
Boy are the last few levels shield dependent. I had to have a shield up most of the time to survive in all of those explosions and try to hide and stay still for the times where I didn't. I really didn't have too much trouble with any of the bosses, not even losing a life to most of them, except for the last boss which took out at least 5 of my lives. It was fun overall though, and had fun playing through it.
Great game, but there are a few things that bug me. First of all, it can get annoying finding things (especially on the scouting missions) so a map upgrade that only shows where you've been would be nice. It does get repetitive after awhile for me, simply because I'm doing the same things over and over again. The turret defense is nice, but I find myself grinding to build up the towers and factories which gets tiring after a long time.
Am I the only one who didn't like the game that much? It only took around half an hour to beat the whole game. There was almost no penalty for running into blue cars, so all I needed to do was hold down turbo and avoid walls and just focus on hitting my rivals. I also managed to skip right to the last car after getting the third car since the cost difference wasn't high at all. The graphics are my favorite feature of the game, very clean and well done.
Just as I beat the last city, a city was reclaimed by the humans, closing the victory window. I then had to re-reclaim that city and got the victory message a second time lol.
I have a slight problem with boss battles. Now, what I try to do is mash the numbers keys when there are only arrows around. This unfortunately also makes it so that I miss some of the arrows despite hitting them on time. Now, I'm not sure if this is due to lag of hitting too many keys at the same time that the game can't register them all or if it's meant to be this way, since I can imagine someone just mashing all 8 keys when there are no hold notes and get all the notes.
This is a hardware issue, most keyboards can't register lots of keys at once so if you hit all four numbers at once and also try to hit a chord of two arrows, the arrows never happened.
Tone down the mashing if it's causing keys to not register, or mash alternately rather than hitting lots in one swipe.
The greatest mystery of most launcher games is how the poor creatures are able to live after getting launched so far. The greatest mystery in this game is how Chuck is able to turn water into chicken drumsticks. That's probably the real reason he's trying to get away.
Good game but there are a few things I want to point out. The "campaign" mode had an ending where I was stuck at this page directing me to buy the full version. I mean that's cool and all I respect the need to make money, but did I really have to refresh the page to reload and replay some songs? I also found that none of the songs were that technically challenging, even in hard mode for the "hardest" songs felt a bit too easy and I just breezed through them. Then again it's probably for the better since it can get frustrating missing notes do to lag. I loved the music though, I'll be looking forward for the next game net year.
Here's what happens: you have a tough time starting out, then after around wave 25, you are able to get enough points for health and regen to destroy everything with ease. You stay bored for about 20 more waves, then the difficulty just gets cranked sky high. Currently I'm stuck on wave 50, because there is absolutely no way to flip all the boats with maxed stats without getting pummeled to death by the million others offscreen. You can't dive or you get blown to bits by the mines. You can't escape to the air cause what goes up must come down. This game is amazing, there are just a few balancing issues with the difficulty curve. Regardless, 5/5.
