There's nothing about autosaving saved in the persistent settings. Refreshing the page will forcibly disable it.

Not feasible. Something like that would be really complex physics-wise, and faking it graphically wouldn't really be worth it for a couple items.

Your browser may not be allowing local storage which is required to save things. I can't really do anything about that since it's happening entirely outside the game. Check the permissions for the game page, browser settings, and Flash Player settings. You can also try a different browser, or MaD2 download that doesn't have any browser issues (available on Discord/Itch/Kartridge/Steam: https://www.kongregate.com/forums/9794/topics/513429-faq#posts-13230330)
