Each time I use the Supernova Extension it works, but then there's an ad. Once the ad's finished, it tells me to enable the Extension again, after I do that, it shows the ad again, and it's just a never-ending cycle, so please, if you can, try to fix this. Thanks!
The Supernova player can't run the game properly, and there's nothing I can do about it. https://www.kongregate.com/forums/9794/topics/513429#posts-13230330
The official version of MaD2 on the web was not free at any point, but free to play with ads.
It's a very specific distinction that might not feel all that different to you, but it is what made the development and updates of MaD2 possible in the first place. MaD2 would not exist without that ad revenue, which has now essentially hit a brick wall with web Flash end-of-life.
MaD2 download exists so people who like the game can keep playing it, while also supporting its development.
If you like the game and would like to see even more content, support it. It's that simple.

what happened to the game? :( i loved playing this back in 2017-2018,
is there any way to get it for free? or do I really have to ask my dad for 10 bucks?
Mac development is not viable for small developers nowadays: https://www.gridsagegames.com/blog/2019/09/sorry-mac-users-apple-doesnt-care-about-us-devs/

well there goes one of my fav games yes u could buy mad2 but i cant it is absolutely sad, if i could i would have bought the game on steam
MaD2 download is available in four different places that should cover a bunch of different methods, not only digital or card, if that's the issue. Steam has giftcards available in physical stores, and Kartridge has tokens you can get and exchange for games, for example.

so there's seriously no way to play mad2 on browser? none at all? used to play it so much in 2019/2020 when in class, if there's no way then I guess I'll buy it on steam
Unfortunately not. There is only so much a random one-man studio can do against the combined might of Adobe and all major browser developers deciding people can simply no longer play my game on the web. https://www.kongregate.com/forums/9794/topics/513429#posts-13230330

i really cant justify the steam version being $10 when the original was free to play, and i highly doubt the dev can either
The simple fact is that MaD2 is a good game that I've worked on for years and years, providing constant free updates, culminating in a potential for hundreds of hours of gameplay(*) due to the sheer amount of content. If you like the game, or my general vibe as a gamedev (free updates instead of DLC, no microtransactions, no DRM, no hassles, etc.), consider showing that by supporting those efforts.
(* The average time played on Steam is 15 hours, with 25% of all players having played for more than 10h, 6% having played more than 50h, 2% having played more than 100h, and at least one dedicated person having played more than 1000h.)
Ruffle, the emulator that NG uses, doesn't support AS3 at all currently (https://github.com/ruffle-rs/ruffle/wiki/Roadmap), and manually porting is simply not viable:

Are any of the old levels you could find on here available on the Steam version, or atleast able to be ported over to the Workshop? Used to spend a lot of hours creating my own little scenarios with some of the cooler levels.

It’s a very specific distinction that might not feel all that different to you, but it is what made the development and years of updates of MaD2 possible in the first place, as Kongregate shares ad revenue with devs. MaD2 would not exist without that ad revenue, which has now essentially hit a brick wall with web Flash end-of-life.

I can't afford to buy the downloadable version. Is there a way to play it on Chrome? I heard Supernova doesn't work with this game

I'm so,like, really good to go with some games working fine because of no more chats bothering me or arguing with me. I hate cyberbullying.
