goodbye orava and MaD2, I've had countless hours of fun but the time has come for flash to end and for us to say goodbye.

goodbye orava , youve made a great game thats made me rage, smile, chuckle , and mad but all in all MaD2 has been the best game ive ever played its been a great run but i think here is where it might end, yes im aware of steam but still. orava if i never play again just hope you know youve inspired me.
Flashpoint is a preservation project, and isn't really applicable to games that are still officially available and receiving updates, like MaD2, as it doesn't support developers in any way.
No, it's not. HTML5 isn't some kind of a magic word devs can just invoke, solving everyone's problems in an instant. To port MaD2 to HTML5, I'd need to (A) use an emulator with full-fledged AS3 support. The issue being that none advanced enough exists currently, and MaD2 leverages some obscure low level methods of Flash that may never be supported by any generic emulators. When emulators get more fleshed out, I'll look into them, but they're not looking very good at all currently. -- OR -- (B) Remake the game from essentially scratch with a toolkit I'm not even familiar with, because HTML5 is a totally different thing compared to Flash. Neither is currently in any way viable for MaD2. If you want to play the game without issues in the foreseeable future, get MaD2 download, it's that simple.
MaD2 is not going HTML5 in the foreseeable future, if ever, because HTML5 isn't some kind of a magic word devs can just invoke and magically make everything work. See my other comment reply for more in-depth details.
