Under rating threshold (show) in the end it says "the shrink leaves, and suddenly i dont have anyone to tell my story to anymore" and the report says that he doesnt remember any of the prior meetings so i think he pretended to not remember the meetings just so that he could tell his story.......................

Under rating threshold (show) Ruthole: "If you wait long enough at the "The End" screen a message appears: "The shrink leaves, and suddenly I don't even have a person to tell my story to anymore." So he does remember the shrink visiting, even though in the report the shrink says that he doesn't remember any of their prior meetings.... that's so sad :(" That is very very sad... it just proves that all he really cared about in life was the one person he loved the most and that nothing else in his life really mattered but the before and after life of his loved ones death.

Under rating threshold (show) They should make a game just like this but make the beginning to vague it could be jack or jack & Kathryn and make there a way for him to keep her.

Under rating threshold (show) An incredible game, one of the most thought-provoking on here. My only critiscism is that i felt that the scrolling narrative text moved far too slowly. I still think it deserves 5/5 because all the other features more than make up for it.

Under rating threshold (show) Normally I'm against giving people answers to games like this. But I feel its such a perfect and touching game that everyone should be able to see the end. So for those who need help with 19 and 20. 19 All you do is stack up about 5 or 6 guys at the beginning by jumping three times and hitting space. 20 I passed by just mindlessly jumping off and hitting space until there were enough guys to jump more times. Just keep running jumping and when you fall hit space. Back to my opinion of the game, this game is the gold standard of all games. It's a deeply moving piece with every detail in perfect harmony to paint such a bleak picture of "Hermits" life with the most perfect use of rhetoric which paints this mans life even clearer.

Under rating threshold (show) This game is going to stick with me, its one of those games that perfectly comes together to be something more than just a game. This is something people can show to others that videogames can be meaningful.

Under rating threshold (show) Deeply moving. This is the first game I have played in a long time that has any real emotional story. Almost every other game is about blood and gore and killing. This story was made around love. the "hermit's" love, Katheryn has died, and he has no one anywhere else in life he can truly even come close to loving. He has never met anyone like her. It makes you actually wonder about the fragility of life, and the Human Spirit. Truely one of the best games of our generation. 6/5. It's just that good.

Under rating threshold (show) Clever mechanic, and a well written story. However the, uh, nature of Kathryn's demise was rather jarring. Something a bit more peaceful would seem more appropriate to the overall tone of the game. But hey, that's just my thought on it.

Under rating threshold (show) he killed her on accident and it destroyed him inside. he buried her in a green box, which is what he goes to at the end of every level. its his friend. the platforms represent the challenges he went through when she was gone. the doubles of himself can represent that he was trying to help himself live on. the flowers where him and Kathryn started represent the flowers he put on her grave. this was a very moving story. i was crying when i got to the end. "The shrink leaves, and suddenly i don't have a person to tell my story to anymore."

Under rating threshold (show) Yay, I finally found out the ending (I've been trying for really long to pass this game, and I would've abandoned it if it wasn't for the storyline), and it made me feel so lonely... but it's completely brilliant, it was worth the time and thinking . In my opinion the fact that you have to pass the levels all by yourself makes you empathize with the hermit... (or just gives headaches >.>) ^///^ rated 5/5 and favorited
