level 17 broke my heart. i could feel the pain that he felt because he was forced to kill her in order to reach the green box.

Great concept - such a paradox that a thinking outside of the box game has itself thought outside of the box. I'm also very proud that I could complete it - the storyline drives your desire to work it out.

I wish I could continue, as it seems like a compelling story, but I don't know how to get past a certain level, especially when they won't let you press the space bar to produce more than one grey shadow per level. Any tips? I can't use that one grey shadow to jump up the ledge to the green door.

I can relate myself to Jack's situation, but not on the same level of his mental status - and how I pity him, oh so much.

I think that the story overall was very saddening, but the game was quite fun to play. I think people should make more games like this one.

@TehRater thanks for the spoiler. The game is Great BTW. Puzzling and has that psychological side I like. Also Inspirational, Reminds me of problems I went through and made me feel better somehow.

Notice how in the level Kathryn dies there is no way to sacrifice yourself for her. Perhaps Kathryn's death was inevitable.

I remember the first time I played this game, I thought it was like any other. I had a feeling the name, "The Company of Myself", was meaningful, but I didn't think much of it. A few levels in, I didn't think much of the game, other than "oh this is a puzzle game, I like puzzle games".When I reached the end, I was hit head-on with a fist full of story. Saline liquids were leaking from my eyes. The music choice was incredibly fitting, I don't think I would choose anything else. Mysterious yet still quite saddening. I don't think I've played a single game (as in, a game not in a series) with so much story in such a simple design.
Of course, I love this game more than any other.

This is painfully moving. The story detail is beautiful, fascinating... heart-breaking. Though Kathryn's death was clearly a tragedy, it is a tragedy made everlasting by Jack's continued pain... Heart-wrenching. Just heart-wrenching.

I completed the game without getting the last achievement, and quite frankly, I couldn't care less. Absolutely amazing game, truly touching.

Though most everyone else has said it, I must say it again. This was an absolutely amazing story and game. The ending touched my heart and left me wanting more. I'm ready for number 2. :)

This is a miracle in a game. If you look at the other reviews, you will find that most of them say it is amazing, but even more say that they are truly sad. A video game producing a real, deep, fealing. Simply a miracle. I wish Jack the best, no matter what he did or forgot.

THE most impressive game ever... great game design and touching storyline. Music is great for the game as well. Worth 10/10 from any prospective. I love it however I remove it from my fav since the story is so sad. just dont wanna make my eyes filled with tears again.

Wow, finally, a game with a concrete story (and a superb one at that). This easily beats other games where the story is basically composed of zombies, unicorns, treasures, and all that bull...
