I love 2D aray's games. this has a big place in my hart togheter with viricide. admitidley the two games where only "good". It is the story that makes them awesome

This is the worst game I have every played, the story made me want to kill myself and all I could think of how pathetic the designers life must be to make a game like this so that people will feel sorry for him/her. The only reason I played this game was for the power up points. Epic fail

I rediscovered this game thanks to kong daily badge. I loved it then, i still love it. It is a beautiful game with an even more beautiful music. I decided to leave a comment when i realized the music was still playing even though i switched to mypaint. Thanks!

I just don't see why everybody feels so sorry for Jack. He freaking killed her and everybody is saying "Poor Jack. I cried for him." If Kathryn were my mother/sister/daughter, I would be pushing for lethal injection!

Personally, I thought the story was a little melodramatic.
However, the game-play was cool - an original concept with the copying. I liked thinking about each level. The whole thing was pretty short, though. I felt like I was still figuring out the mechanics when it ended. I would have liked more levels to challenge me. Anyone else want more levels?

I played the game when the badge came out, didn't think much of it tbh, so I gave it a 2/5 and quit. Today I played it again for the extra 15 points and started reading the texts (thoughts/writings, if you will) and I didn't really get it the first time. So I played it again and finally began to understand the meaning of the Title "The Company of Myself" and the different thoughts he and the shrink must have had. It's a beautiful story and I've changed my 2-star rating to a 5-star and a fav!

it is the most heartbreakinly sad story you will ever find, i wanted to stop playing the minute it got to kathryn. I'm torn to see such a guy have a horrible life like that and i truly do feel his pain. Great, but extremely s-sad g-game 10/10 D':

Ok, so here's my serious review. - It was a good puzzle game. I really liked the *poof* of smoke effect (graphically). The rest of the graphics were passable. The story line was top notch as far as puzzle game story lines can be. Music seemed appropriate. There were a couple minor issues though. Using the word "shrink" makes the game a little less professional. "Doctor" would have been a much better choice. As it's fairly clear that Jack had a hand in her death (he did pull the lever that made her fall), I think a better ending would be that after the doctor leaves, a priest accompanied by four guards lead him to the firing line.

After the credits on "The End" there will be a message that says "The Shrink Leaves, and suddenly I don't have anyone to tell my story to anymore" I thought in the report that he will find someone to talk to, someone to help him like the shrink said in the last sentance, but now i know that he doesn't. This is so sad that I would've cried if there wasn't anybody else in the room. This is excellent, but even more it's beautiful. At the end I understand the green box ending and the checkpoints. Keep up the good games. This deffinantly overpasses shooting games and junk with zombies. 98/5

Even though the retards rated it down, I am still laughing at how she can stand on his block head, but he can't stand on hers.

such a sad story i almost cried
also very nice done on the last when he sees the shrink is leaving he desperatly tries to make him stay and in the level you just need to jump and press space to desperatly reach the other side

It's a good game, but the last level does basically rely on luck. Some systems just can't do that because of how buggy Flash can be.

@kylaca
I completed the last stage with a "brute force" method. As you have infinite copies of yourself, just try to jump over the gap and create copies until you can use your copies as stepping stones.

+ this if you cried of nearly in the end, because this game is so well done and it has touched my mind and way of thinking

How can all these people be sad about the ending? It says he murdered this woman. Murdered. Think about it. Doesn't matter if his mind can't handle it. Could handle it enough to murder in the first place. Other than that make shift unreality ending fiasco, it was an enjoyable game.

Great game. It would have made me cry if I could cry, but I think that is not possible anymore. What it did was depressing me. Loved it. Poor guy.

Great game, good gameplay and great story. Its sad, but not as much as some ppl here are saying(thats just my opinion) but its still a great game and the story is still amazing. 5/5

@PiraHC
Bringing emotion to a flash game that can be played in 20 minutes is not as easy (not that it's ever really easy) as bringing emotion to a book that one can read for days or weeks. It's unexpected, it's out of place, it's special among a medium filled with games that include bison bodyslamming gummybears and even weirder concepts that I can't remember right now.

Masterpiece. One of the best games I've ever played, mostly because of the story. The gameplay isn't too difficult, but it isn't too easy, either. The music fits perfectly, and the story and the ending are by far the best ones I've seen in a game of this kind.

Best game ever and vote for most sad and challenging game ever!
kinda funny that I just jumped and jumped pressed space repeatedly trying to get to the other side! It really works if another shadow just walks to his doom.

People are lacking culture, if you guys found that "deep" I feel sorry for you, cause I'm sure you have never read a real book (perhaps just those LOTR and stuff like that).
I found it fun, he is always thinking about getting inside that green box, so he wanted his beloved to get too hehehe
Extremely overrated, nothing special about the graphics, plot or gameplay, the BGM is ok. 1/5

This game made me feel so sad. I cried a couple times, but it was a great game. I completed the game 50 times so i could try not to cry at the story. And in all of those 50 times i cried. 5/5

I said it the first time I played this, and I'll say it again now that I came back for the bonus points: Jack knows what's going on. His comment at the beginning about "performing," and his comment after the credits.
Jack's situation is not sad.

On Lvl 20, I just rage-spammed the gap with shadow-jumping-men. Sadly for them... they were my bridge. And so they all fell to their useless deaths and 'poof'ed :3

For those who experience lag/issues on level 20. Go to another screen, say the achievements/badges one, then reload the game fresh.
Was getting so frustrated, and tried this in desperation, thank goodness it worked. :)

This game is one of the best I have found. The story ties together, and it all makes sense, its very deep and I have seen comments where people said they cried. You don't find this kind of game every day. 5/5.
