Idk if this means anything but Kathryn was buried in a green box, to beat each lv u must get to a green square/box... is there a connection?

It's a really sad story, but it is absolutely fantastic. The whole plot, game, and the storyline of Kathryn and even the gameplay which shows her fall, was absolutely beautiful.

I almost cried at the part where I had no choice but to let Kathryn fall. I didn't mind the gameplay, only the words that appear about his life and his love. My question is: Did he kill Kathryn because of an accident? Because of his mental illness? Or probably an incident where he failed to save her? Another puzzle to solve, what a good game. 10/10

I think it's obvious, if not self evident, that this is a story fabricated to cover the true story. Someone lost a person named Kathryn, that much is true. I believe it was a break up, not a death, that caused it.
He feels responsible, obviously, hence him saying he neglected her, implied, and did not appreciate etc. The true murdering happened to his love, and his heart.. by her.
That's my take

This is an excellent game, but it's kind of a ripoff of the masterful Braid (http://www.braid-game.com/), and should really credit it...

Makes me wonder how many people are out there, locked in solitary confinement, dying of loneliness and frustration...

So frustrating! But a beautiful piece of art-game worth playing. At the end, I was elated that I overcome the challenges, but saddened by the story that had so engulfed me.

Jungian analysis, anyone? You people that missed the whole concept of the Jungian shadow should start reading something besides . . . whatever you're reading now.

This is not a game you play for the gameplay but for the story. The story behind the game play is cathartic in so many ways and the music only adds to the emotional value of this game. I think its awesome that the creator(s) tied in a great story while not forgeting to make the game mentally tasking. I give this game a 5/5. Good job.

If u notice (Don't read if u haven't played game yet) When Katharyn dies, the man says he is crushed by guilt. So obviously something they did together on accident, or on purpose which is what kanacalli says. Anyway its SO SAD!

Incredibly crafted story, pure emotions reflected, captivating music, stupendous gamplay mechanic...so many word to describe this game but only a single word can define the whole experience...lonely.

It's like magic! Just the way it works! No matter how many times I play this game, I want to cry. It's so sad, and I'm so emotional... It's pretty hard, too. I kind of got tired of the "And like this, I continue" because I saw it like a hundred times. :P

If you wait long enough at the "The End" screen a message appears: "The shrink leaves, and suddenly I don't even have a person to tell my story to anymore." He indeed remembers the shrink. But he is just a shadow, caught in an infinite loop, the real him is somewhere out there! Happy that he got through the green door, once and for all. Having realised that, the story is somewhat less sad. Did you feel sorry for all the shadows you sent in that gap at the last level? He is one of them.
HAPPY END!
