Awesome game! Quite addicting! Why did he kill his girlfriend? I spent ages trying to find a why not to kill her, then I tried killing her and well... it worked! The music really touched it and finished it; although I haven't completed the game yet - I am on Level 18. I give it 5/5, because actually those messages affected me slightly. It made me think a bit... etc.!

i find that most games trying to be "dramatic" end up just being cheesy and stupid. this game is an exception, the storyline might not be huge but i think if you delve deeper into the meaning of the game it has a lot of meaning. This game was a fun game (game play wise) and has a good storyline

I believe that this game is trying to teach men that they should appreciate their girl because
when they leave their girl, they will regret it.5/5 This game is very touching

This game is simply amazing. The story is a masterpiece, the game and idea itself is genius, and the music adds the final touch. It may be a silly game to somebody who doesn't read the story, but for me, it was a story that touched me deeply and almost brought me, too, to tears. 5/5.

Fantastic game. Kind of a sad story, but a very very well built game. Really makes you think, which alot of games on Kong don't, lol. But yeah fantatic game 5/5

cani, i have a different explanation of what the game was about. yes, i understand the graves and the flowers... but I seriousally doubt that he was showing him cards and he is explaning what they mean... i think (but this is just me) that this was the Psychologists last visit to Jack, and as the Psychologist said in his report, I belive Jack was just saying his story. from begining to end, he is simply telling his story... and when he says wait... are you really leaving? is when the shrink is leaving his house to go file the last report... but hey, thats just me :P.

Kathryn DID NOT DIE OF NATURAL CAUSES! NOR DID SHE DIE BECAUSE OF A GREAT CHALLENGE!! If you have beaten the game then you must of heard of the Psychiatrists final report, in which he stated these exact words... '' He always briefly talks about his life, and eventually gets into the story of how he lost a loved one Kathryn. He understands that she has died, and he certainly feels at least somewhat responsibly, BUT HE DOESN'T RECALL THAT HE MURDERED HER!!!'' The hermit murdered her :P.

Guys this is final report, i rather like to think that they excused the Psychologists final report... but I often find it hard to excuse it.... LONG LIVE (THE COMPANY OF MYSELF)!! BYFAR THE MOST TOUCHING AND SADDEST GAME ON KONGREGATE!! :D

He considers her death to be the reason that he can't talk to people anymore. I suppose that in a way, he is correct.
This will be my final report on Jack. I don't find any reason to believe that he will recover from his current state of severe mental illness, and he is far to dangerous to himself and others to allow his release.

Iv been tasked with Psychoanalyzing Jack after his mental breakdown. In general, he recalls his life very accurately-the things he says line up with all of the records.
The first problem is he doesn't remember any of my visits. Ive talked with him once a week for the past eight years, and he always tells me the same things as if we never met before.
He describes himself as a loner, and this makes a whole lot of sense, as he has been kept in solitary confinement for the duration of his stay at the hospital.
He always briefly talks about his life, and eventually gets into the story of how he lost a loved one Kathryn.
He understands that she has died, and he certainly feels at least somewhat responsibly, but he doesn't recall that he murdered her. She was found in their backyard in a green package- Evidently, it was the only box large enough for use as a coffin that Jack could find. Also of note were the 2 flowers that he planted next to the makeshift grave.

This game is very deep. This game is probably creating a visual picture of what happens in life. Like how your mind, body and soul must be at atonement and harmony with eachother to be "complete". Kathyrn could be a symbol for friends, family and loved ones. Though they mean everything to you, you still have to move on and take it to the end. The green and red barriers could symbolize the barriers that we face in real life. Some things can't be solve with brute strength, pure knowledge or faith in someone.

All sort of feelings were brought to me, sadness, emotion, compassion, rage.
An awesome game with a beutiful story and concept combined with the music creating the perfect environment for the game.
It shows us how he really never overcame the tragedy loss of Kathryn, how he put her in the green box as her grave, with both flowers becuase he felt guilty for her death; instead of living, he survives, alone, trapped in is own memories, waiting for a day to be able to recover and connect to people again.
A really sad ending, being alone, with noone now to tell his story.
This game really got to me, I hope it did to you too.
Beutiful :3 , one of the best phychological and emotional game on kG.

The combination of storyline and gameplay here is amazing. I haven't encountered many psychological games such as this, and I'm glad I did. This is a new take on an old concept, that of Lemmings and Portal. The increasing difficulty and necessity of thinking outside the box (in order to get to a box, heh) is very engaging.

to all the people that say he didn't murder her, the game says he did at the end and also on level 17 shows he knows he is at least somewhat responsible.

the multiples of himself could represent the many times he has had the same "shrink" interview and bit by bit helping himself progress

Couldn't find a button right away to shut up the sounds messing with my playlist, so had to move on. wtf? would have loved to try it but.. not gonna mess up my buzz just to do so :D

The last few levels left me confused. The text led me to think that the last level was unwinnable and that I was supposed to start over, reach the flashback, and just not have the two meet. So I was rather annoyed to find that this wasn't the case and that I simply had to keep screwing with the last level until it was so flooded with ghosts that I could collide in midair and jump again. Repeated all the other levels for nothing...

Loved it, wish it was a bit longer. I'm curious of how she actually died; I don't think she fell off a vanishing platform into an abyss of sad music like we're shown.
