I remember the first time I played this game, I thought it was like any other. I had a feeling the name, "The Company of Myself", was meaningful, but I didn't think much of it. A few levels in, I didn't think much of the game, other than "oh this is a puzzle game, I like puzzle games".When I reached the end, I was hit head-on with a fist full of story. Saline liquids were leaking from my eyes. The music choice was incredibly fitting, I don't think I would choose anything else. Mysterious yet still quite saddening. I don't think I've played a single game (as in, a game not in a series) with so much story in such a simple design.
Of course, I love this game more than any other.

This is painfully moving. The story detail is beautiful, fascinating... heart-breaking. Though Kathryn's death was clearly a tragedy, it is a tragedy made everlasting by Jack's continued pain... Heart-wrenching. Just heart-wrenching.

I completed the game without getting the last achievement, and quite frankly, I couldn't care less. Absolutely amazing game, truly touching.

Though most everyone else has said it, I must say it again. This was an absolutely amazing story and game. The ending touched my heart and left me wanting more. I'm ready for number 2. :)

This is a miracle in a game. If you look at the other reviews, you will find that most of them say it is amazing, but even more say that they are truly sad. A video game producing a real, deep, fealing. Simply a miracle. I wish Jack the best, no matter what he did or forgot.

THE most impressive game ever... great game design and touching storyline. Music is great for the game as well. Worth 10/10 from any prospective. I love it however I remove it from my fav since the story is so sad. just dont wanna make my eyes filled with tears again.

Wow, finally, a game with a concrete story (and a superb one at that). This easily beats other games where the story is basically composed of zombies, unicorns, treasures, and all that bull...

I love this game. The story is excellent. The puzzles are awesome. The controls are simple and fun. It's a sad and also very good story.
Rate it 5 stars...

this game touched me. this story was incredible, and i do think its true. Even if its just something a random guy made up, the message is great. U look at a mentally ill person and u think...
"poor thing... they don't even know whats going on in the world...". Well they do. This is a perfect example. They have a heart and a perfect mind on the inside, just what shows on the outside is a bit jumbled.

Well i didn't cry but the story did touch me. Imagine that. This is a free to play flash game and it has touched me deeper than any game i have ever played on any console. The story line, incredible. The music, fantastic. Even the basic concept of the game screams genius. Even the art ,in its own simple way, is beautiful. On top of all of that, the game play is both challenging and entertaining. If this is not a 5/5 game then i have no idea what is.

@ Ruthole: Your comment about the post-ending message about him remembering the shrink isn't correct. It says the shrink "leaves," not "left." Not remembering previous visits, and not noticing someone leaving your presence are two different things. The shrink leaving is what Jack was experiencing in the present, not the past.

Would be nice if I could restart my solid self without having to restart shadows, if I goof and fall into a lower level by accident I have to restart the whole level, a suicide button would therefore be nice o_o.
