He killed Kathryn, but he could not accept the truth so he tried to forget it and to only remember the past, not the present.

Very sad story. I love this kind of games. I think Kongregate should have an area just for games with storys like that.

Kind of lame, I understand the premise, but i don't understand why people have such varied emotional responses to it... 3/5

this game was so sad and touching at the same time. i didnt know if i should be happy that i got my badge or sad that 'the shrink' never came to visit him anymore :(

this is so sad. it makes me upset to think about the things in my life. i give this a 10/5 and applaud them for making a game that touches the heart. not many ppl know how to do that anymore.

Soooooo this guy has access to a computer in the Hospital so he can make this game? The the shrink couldn't have made the game due to the last quote in the game. "The shrink leaves, and suddenly I don't even have a person to tell my story to anymore." This storyline is a bunch of made up baloney.

This game really got to me. The storyline, the setting, the levels... I nearly cried at the end and had shivers while reading what the shrink said.
The first flash game to have ever touched my heart. Truly a masterpiece. 10/5

The game is good, the storyline is awesome. I find it lacking length, took me 30 mins to end the game, seems like finished in a rush, hoping for a version with more levels. After all it has potential.

i think that (based on my gameplay) the hermit killed Kathryn so that he can get something he likes (its just my opinion)

just move your player, press the fire button, then next turn, where the time will be set back to where it all started, showing the shadows of the previous player moving, while you move your guy, trying to dodge the attack given in the last turn, and it does this back and forth, until finally the other player is killed by one of the shadows, or the player himself, and maybe some traps, and gadgets should be thrown in there, and a good selection of guns as well. On first thought it sounds stupid, but with effort and feedback i believe a game such as this would be splendid. But you know what? I've not dealt with 2D animations, scripting, or any other such manner, so this is just an idea, for those who CAN make the game, give it some thought, and rate good if you agree this game would be worth the effort to make.

I've yet to complete this game but from what I've played before this summer I've seen that not only does the storyline of this game put an emotional impact onto you it also sparks ideas and thoughts of maybe a further game? Or maybe just a total new one, using this as a base for ideas, i was thinking one with the same concept just a little tweaked, maybe instead of one person, this game could be multi player, not only that but with guns, the players take turns, with limited amounts of steps, or limited amount of space that can be traveled, or no restrictions,

This is by far one of the greatest games I have ever played, many props to the creator for such an in depth emotionally provoking concept

In the end, I'm all alone,
In this room where I cry and moan.
I wish the shrink would come back to me,
So I can at least tell my story.
If Kathryn were here, i would be sane,
And I would not have to feel this pain,
But time is something i cannot bend,
I've lost all hope, and this is the end...

@awesomearyan just keep jumping and respawning, eventually you and/or your copies will be able to jump on each others' heads and go more far, until one of them crosses the gap.
