Description
Mr Darcy has just called you tolerable.
You are Elizabeth Bennet. From the Meryton assembly to Janeโs sickroom at Netherfield, what you say and what you keep back are yours to choose: laugh at him or let it go, walk the three miles through the mud or wait for the carriage, argue with him or hold your tongue. He notices more than you think. Twice you see the week through his eyes.
Act one of an illustrated interactive novel, written in Jane Austenโs register and drawn like a hand-inked manga, one picture to each chapter.
- About 25 minutes a reading, 10 chapters, 3 endings
- Undo any choice, saves itself, text size and night reading, a journal of your Elizabethโs temper
- Endings found are kept, with a hint for each one still to find
Gentle reading: courtship, family embarrassment, a sisterโs illness. Nothing explicit.
Act two is being written. One ending leads into the novel A Fever at Netherfield, by the same author (Kaelen Ash).
How it was made: the prose and the page code were written with AI (Claude) under human direction, with repeated whole-story reads and revisions. The illustrations were made with AI (ChatGPT) from written art direction. Pride and Prejudice is in the public domain; no line of Austenโs is reused.
No personal data is collected; your progress saves only in your own browser.
Age rating: 13+ (romance, period themes).
How to Play
Read, then click or tap a choice (or press its number key; Enter or 1 turns the page). Back (or U) takes back your last choice. Journal (or J) shows your Elizabethโs temper, the endings found and the pictures met, and holds the text size and day or night reading. Your place saves itself.
