Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. Enjoyed the game, except for the clicking stars aspect. Seemed a tiny bit lame and unrelated to anything else in the game.

I'd assume you'd want your game to not be like other games of it's type to stand out. Adding a star system makes it much more similar, and it's not interesting at all. Also, it will be annoying for those trying for those trying for perfect as most will be watching where the rain is falling to see where it gets through rather than looking for a star that briefly comes out.
