this was a great twist on the fading tower defense games. and @ nightmaretheend, this isnt indestructotank, so indestructotank should have nothing to do with this review

Whew, it seems that typing this all out was a help to me as well. I finally got the 50 in the game I was playing while typing the rules out. Good luck to all of you, I probably won't be playing this again.

got a 165 combo =] i got it thinking someone had previously said they had a 164 so i went to 165 just to beat them and stopped, then found out no-one posted a "164 combo" post =] however, very easy game, so 5/5

Other random stuff. Because the game is a race between your experience and fuel, the boom bar is not a source of danger. - This is something I was worried about when I could not understand why I blew up. Use it to prolong your combos and don't worry that something bad will happen if you let it flash too long. Also, just as experience you don't spend on a level will carry over to the next time you can spend experience, experience that you get on a level that exceeds the cap for that level will carry over to the next level as experience you have already accrued for that new level. So if you get 120 points on level one, but it has a level cap of 100 points, on level two your experience bar will start at 20. This is why levels seem to end so quickly some times. You had a lot of experience built up from the previous level and only needed a little to satisfy the new level.

Implications and important rules. The game is a race. Each level is a race to get enough experience to end the level and then touch the ground to be awarded that experience before you run out of fuel and explode. You must get longer and longer combos to achieve this and you must keep in mind that you are in a race. You are not solely picking your combos and fooling around, you are on a time limit. When your fuel gage starts flashing, you must try to get enough of a combo to fill the experience bar and then touch the ground fairly quickly. Next level will have more chances and most likely more things to bounce off of, so surviving the level is more important that getting a few more hits on your combo.

5) Experience points are awarded when you touch the ground at end of a combo. 6) The longer the combo the more points you get. 7) At higher levels you get fewer points for combos. (I think, I may be wrong about this one) 8) Each level has a higher experience point cap than the previous level.
Fuel.
1) Fuel is represented by an orange bar above the blue bar for experience. 2) Fuel only depletes in a level, you can not replenish it (this was a source of much confusion for me because of other comments I read). 3) The fuel gauge depletes to the left in contrast to the experience point gauge which fills to the right. 4) You start each level with a full fuel gauge (and this is what people are talking about when they say refuel). 5) When you run low on fuel you will get a flashing warning at the top of the screen. 6) When you run out of fuel your tank explodes and the game ends. 7) At higher levels your fuel depletes more quickly. I have painfully figured out the rules. For those like me who are not good at this game and need to understand the rules, here they are: 1) As you get combos, you get experience points. 2) Experience points are used to buy bad guys. 3) Each level ends when you meet or exceed the experience point cap for the level. 4) Experience points are represented by a light blue bar and number such as 11/100. That means you have 11 experience points out of 100 needed to end the level. [more in next post]

Here's something sorta humorous: For a whole week, I was at my Grandparents house. They don't have a computer, so I missed the Gemcraft card. But I had played Indestructo before. When I came back, I went to the challenge, only to find that from playing before, I got 3/4 badges (35 pts. total) and the car4d without lifting a finger on that game!! :D

I just found an interesting bug:
I was running very low on fuel, and I hit the ground with a high combo causing the meter to go up; however, the tank blew up. The blue bar continued rising and went *past* the maximum value. That's when I was returned to the main menu.
