Not bad, but it's easy to get stuck if you don't go through it in the right order. I can get to just three screens now and have no way to leave them because I can walk on the bottom of the water but can't swim up and can't jump high enough to get out with my feet.

Great game and good mechanics, but it isn't very friendly to slower computers. There is no quality control, and although the camera-view adds a decent polish to the game I would much rather my deaths count how many honest mistakes I made, rather than 2/3rds of them being how many times I became frustrated.

*SPOILER* K.O.L.M. stands for "Kind Of Like Metroid". If you manage to collect all the plates, the final screen before you escape will show "It's kind of like metroid" on the glass plates.

I only wish the size on the levels stayed consistent, the massive rooms strained my eyes after coming from a smaller one.

If any of your hardcore players want to get a better score, you can avoid subtracting your time by not collecting the core.

Every once in a while. You'll find a game. That actually has a meaning. Not big action. Not big humor. Just a meaningful. Real. Game. And This, is a real game.

I love this type of game. The ones that tell a story, that mean something. Many have said it before me, but there really should be a genre, a section on kongregate for it.

@SnipeD18, i think it does, if you get all of the letters, it should say K.O.L.M. is kind of like metroid or somthin like that

I hope K.O.L.M. doesn't stand for Kind Of Like Metroid, because thats a really stupid name for a really good game. 5/5

You can play through the game without getting crouch. The one turret that is supposed to require crouch can be bypasses by abusing respawn invincibility with good timing. Then you can get slide, which makes crouch unnecessary. I didn't even know crouch was a thing until I happened to run into it on my way to escape.

i found out that if you accidentally get the "self-destruct" button in the game, you can quit because it auto saves in the game and then it will start at the point right before you got it

I think there should be a 100% completion badge... as well as one for beating the game in a certain amount of time. I like all these games on Kongregate that are Metroid styled

If you want an easier way to escape then you should leave after you get the yellow plasma blaster or the invincibility. That way you don't have to deal with the explosion and you still get the badge. Then if you want to play with the explosion click continue after you escaped the easy way.
