Part 2/2
when you escape without blowing up this place (you'd think if you killed her she'd not let that go so easily) and for that matter she doesn't say much when you do escape the 'exploding' facility either. I'll save the last two
TL;DR: Great set up, well implemented, geared up for great endings but you only get one with no conclusion to it, a lot is left hanging including why you were broken in the first place and the letters I went through the trouble of collecting said something pretty randomly unnecessary.
@Developer: It was great work, I don't mean to hate just to give constructive criticism. I do however want to tell you this joke. A priest, your ex-girlfriend and a platypus walk into a bar. Your ex sees the platypus and it's enough to lighten her mood because she had thinking about how long a go it was she wronged you. As she turns to the priest to ask him a question the bartender drops a bottle of Gin, there's glass everywhere so everyone decides to go home.

...Gotta cut in half but I still want to say it.
Part 1/2
@SPOILER ALERT@
K I did my fair warning. So I enjoy games like this, ones that are less bash em up and more thinking. This game had a lot of set up, it was interesting hints of foreshadowing the dialogue, kept it mysterious a bit at least.
But then... you blow up 'The facility' (who knows what the relevance of where you are is) your mother who is dead but still talking to you (...?) says you killed her (acceptable that you don't know how but too much in addition to the rest), it says your father is dead (he was never even mentioned before now??), the facility is blowing up but nothing happens when the time runs out (kinda kills annoying considering I hurried the first time only to find out you can be at -10 minutes and nothing happens), nothing at all happens

Best Game I've played in a very long time. The music is excellent with the style of the game. A few minor flaws but otherwise a flawless game with a GREAT feeling to it. 5/5 naturally.

I wanted to point out when the robot says "I fancy a dip 8-)" that doesn't look like a smiley face. Perhaps a dirty joke?

**** KOLM, i realize someone spent time making this game. and apparently some people liked it. but i got a little bit after the point where my robot could cough of blue hairballs. and it took me that long to realize that this piece of crap guy actually forced me to sprinkle salt in my eyes. so now im stuck here trying to wash salt out of my eyes while typing this. and i must be a god to be able to type this much with salt in my eyes. anyways, that's not the point. good game. but not my game. lol 3/5

when i first played this game (which was on another site) the boss music was the battle music from SS2. whonder why it changed...
btw, why does the highscore list show the weakest player as the best? is'nt the point you shall get as "mucch" points as possible?

@roooster If you collect all the plates with letter etched on to them, the end message says "It's Kind Of Like Metroid" K.O.L.M = Kind Of Like Metroid.

The graphics are very basic, but so pure you don't realize how simple they are. The visual design works well and the design is good too. The graphics can only be described with one simple word:
"beautiful". The overall gameplay is interesting. The game is sort of simular to the Robot Wants Series, but those games are overly frustrating, in this case this game is not. Collecting parts is ever so rewarding and addicting. The game makes you feel lonely and simply making you want to play more and keep you playing. The game is also weirdly depressing in a way, a way I can't describe. The music also adds great emotion to the game, being slow and simple. I love the music in this game. The sound effects are pretty good too, being such a simple game. The controls are always responsive and very simple. The only downside to this game is the replay value. I most likely won't be playing it over, but I will definately play it through the end. This game is excellent.
K.O.L.M: 9.7/10

It looks and sounds superb, but it's so unbearably slow. Considering the required repetition, you'd think the simple act of walking wouldn't be made so laborious.

"A plan, Mother? What is it?" "It's a thought about what you should do in the future, but that's not important right now."

The shooty thing before the N. If you can't kill it, you need to indicate that. It's the same color as the bugs, and it looks the same as the bugs when shot. Make it a different color.

Sorry for hte double post, but i just found a glitch. I started firing upwards while i floated on the floaty thingy and all three robots spontaniously died. Still cant get to the thingst they dropped though.

I'm a big fan of metroid/castlevania style games, but this just got boring fast, needs more something in the gameplay, cause as it is it's a snooze :(
Potential is there though.

Good, but got frustrating untill i got water proof.. then got bored because all i did was jump... Good game, but not intertaining enough for me.. The vexing subtle dismay people say that this game brings, is not there for me. I suppose i'm either oblivious or inpervious to it, but what ever the case, good game. Not the best, 4/5

If you get the 100% you will see a text at the end that says "Kind Of Like Metroid" (K.O.L.M.)
I felt kinda disappointed, but it's still a great game.

I'm not saying this to disparage anyone who likes this game, or the people who make these games, but when I play a game like this or Endeavor, I just feel like I don't get it. I don't understand the appeal to games that have lots of jumping. Saying that, this game is beautiful and really well presented, so it's good, just not my cup of tea.

@mexsewerrat: Yes, I got the reference. You will have to forgive me for taking some liberties though, as the 'power core' is never actually called 'the heart of gold' in game.

I thought it was pretty cool. I didn't get the shiny thing on cam 42 actually my first play through because I wanted to get 100% and I was only at 90 something and figured the shiniest thing would cause the game to end. I escaped without hitting it and it was rather anticlimatic that way. No idea what the point of all of it is unless you do get it.
