When the countdown timer at the end runs out, nothing happens. It kept counting down for me, displaying for example 0:0-22

1)his mom is dead, so how is she there...?

LOL. at the end, when you take the final piece, a timer starts and you must escape fast before the place explode... i just stopped and let the time ran out. Guess what, nothing happened and i won. LOL

The reason that he left that out was because that would lead into the horror genre too much. It's meant to be generally creepy, but not in that way.

one thing i didnt like was that i completed the game and didnt find the thing to let you duck until the end + if this happened to you

its so sad. the music is beautiful and depressing, and it makes you feel sorry for the robot. 99999999999999 out of ten. Great game!

From the beginning of the game I knew that something was wrong from the haunting to music and the bleak settings to the abusive things the kids mother said to him, but I still got chills after I got that final piece in the red room and the mother's messages started coming quickly. While being creepy these game has a beautiful haunting feel to it. Awesome game 5/5

What's the point of the metal plates with letters on them? I know I missed at least one - way back in the green area, at the top of the shaft in the flooded room. Never went back once I got triple jump...

I would've liked some sort of options menu for the more CPU-heavy effects. A lot of my deaths were attributed to immense lag and delayed reactions.

god im too stupid to jump up the long tube, even WITH the jetpack. the guy in the walkthrough just does it and ive been stuck here for half an hour trying to match that jump

Cool game. The creepyness adds perfectly. Plus, does anyone know what the message said? I didn't get to collect all the letters.

Err . . . I believe Master Hitchcock said best when he said, and this applies here, "A boy's best friend is his mother." That said, this is a beautiful, haunting game.

i'm stuck, totally stumped ! I'm in the levels with the green background underground and can't get up.. is there a walkthrough or something, cause I am utterly lost :( did I miss anything way down, do i have to start all over ( i hope not) how do I get up again ?

So the title stands for "Kind of Like Metroid." The villain, so to speak, is a "mother" who claims to die right at the moment of the escape sequence, and who wants her robotic child to repair its body by acquiring increasingly powerful upgrades.
I think I've figured out how Mother Brain got her cybernetic body between Metroid and Super Metroid.
