Thing is, the first time i played i was so focused and pumped on escaping that I forgot to read mom's advice screen...then i did it again and i was so freaked out by the advice screen i forgot to escape.

Yeah, it is kind of like Metroid, only without the interesting bosses, challenge, or puzzles. Whats leftover is moving from corridor to corridor...

In response to jonnywonkaz's comment, "(nothing happens after the countdown reaches zero, so theres no rush to escape)", it is false. When you run out of time on the escape sequence, you lose your invulnerability shield. If you get hit after 3 minutes passes, you die and have to restart the whole sequence.

@Hoople you can jump from the edge up on the water section. I tried for a while and you have to get right on the edge before you jump.

um... I seem to be stuck. I might be missing something, but I can only reach 3 rooms. One is a dead end, the second has yellow beams I can't get past, and the last one has water I can't jump high enough to get out of. HELP PLEASE!

The attention to detail is just fantastic. Just little touches like the sounds he makes being louder when he is close really adds a lot to the game!

I... have no idea why, but this feels like the absolute best game I have ever played on Kongregate. And boy have I play a-plenty. Somewhere, somehow, I felt an emotional attachment to that robot and his abusive mother. The almost 2.5D camera really gave the game a feeling of immersion and the ending was both sad and happy at the same time. 100/5 stars. Bravo. I officially have a new favorite character and Kongregate game that I will probably revisit time and time again.

there IS an alternate ending. after escaping the first time, click continue game on the menu screen and it will bring you to camera 34. Simply walk left and destroy the yellow gates by pressing "up" and shoot. get the power core and enjoy! (nothing happens after the countdown reaches zero, so theres no rush to escape) + this up so everyone can enjoy this game to its full potential

very interesting game. the concepts of building you character as you progress and slowly uncovering a dark backstory have been done before (the "Robot Wants ___" series and Being One, respectively), but they have never been combined in this way. the fun gameplay and pixelised graphics make this a very unique and enjoyable game. it's a little dark for my taste, in fact the "too late" written in the walls was a bit creepy. despite the creep-factor, a very good game. keep up the good work! 5/5

This is a trully wonderful games 5/5 the gameplay is wonderful and the story is dark and makes you feel lonely not to mention the music completes the feeling of a certain despair.

The only thing that dissapointed me in this game was the lack of alternate endings, the first ending is well played, with the only way out of the score screen is your right, but if you dont get the core it's still the same ending, it would be nice if there were more ways to finish the game.

The Soundtrack, the nostalgic Metriod memories, and the fantastic narrative make this game truly rewarding of a 5. Well done.

a bug, in camera 42, the vertical lines when hit at the bottom with the gun don't explode (btw nice hitchhikers guide reference). awesome game, and there are not two endings, if you don't grab the heart of gold, you get to go back and do everything. But if you then exit it just gives you the same ending with no back story and no time limit

Wow, was the best game I have ever played!!! Simply beautiful. But they should put the escape badge as HARD or maybe IMPOSSIBLE!!!
