You know the son is actually tied up in a room somewhere with the controls to this robot wired to his brain. This is actually him just watching himself control the robot without knowing he's not a robot. How the heck would anyone wire up a brain to a robot, that just doesn't make sense. The whole not remembering is due to brain damage caused by the wiring.

yeah theres two endings..you can escape without the heart, no countdown or anything. i passed the heart because i didnt realize i could shoot up..LOL

Oh, man. I left this game running over night because I didn't have time to finish it. My score is -34,780. :/ The music in this game is awesome. The one song sounds like "O Holy Night".

PERSONALLY i think that you play as the son, but you're watching as the mother, notice the way the "Screen" moves when you move? notice the Camera numbers? Only the person in charge of the lair could do that, and if "She" wasn't there, who would? Father?

Great game, great music.
Shame that the vast majority of games are tower defense-like (which i don't like that much), and very few are masterpieces like this.

A great new visual twist on the old Metroid platform/explore genre (exform? platore?). I would love to see this go even further: playing more with the camera visuals, the blurred sensations, the lack of freedom, the creepy atmosphere. The difficulty is nice, too, with the game only a strain for those trying to crack a high score. Talk about perfect balance! 5/5.

@cevgar Apparently if you don't get the building-destruction object and just head to the escape area, nothing different happens. The "mother" still says that strange parting message, you get your score, blah blah blah.

I actually escaped with 1 second left! Oh my God! I thought that sort of thing only ever happened in films and books and it actually happened to me - my heart was beating like I'd just ran a marathon :D

-930 and I still love it... after a bit of cheating after winning, 5/5. Before when I had defeated the first robot, it would've been only 1/5

This is a GREAT combination of skill, scares, and the story is wonderful. The mother was so nice at the start, but later... later... The letters you get, The letters you get. "Remind" you of something. IF you've done it before

A Remake of metroid.. i got the game and I playd once i was a child.. epic moments.... just like that sentence in the end.....

That game was really good by itself, great dialogue, but the music REALLY helped to promote that sense of loneliness. It just goes to show that the right choice of fantastic music can serve to make a great game outstanding. Amazing.

CAMERA 12: Well, after about 40 minutes of searching around the bottom area for something I missed, and reading through the comments, it seems you need to HOLD JUMP while in that lift to get high enough to reach the upper area. There's no indication in-game about that, and it's not a mechanic I'm familiar with from other games (certainly not Super Metroid.)

*SPOILER ALERT!!!!*.......................... I agree, there r many feelings of metroid in this game. I only wish the.... should i say (boss or bosses?) whatever, were a bit easy and should have been either made unique or progressively harder to defeat.

@UndeadNecro: Or you could just "walk" into the boosters and then double/triple jump at the top, thus having one extra jump at the top.
