Agreed, it's stupid to have random spawn rates and then make objectives based on how much gold you can earn. Came up 400 short and NOT going to play it again to see if I can get the hard badge (which is really quite easy).

Well, the Hard badge is essentially random. I bought absolutely NOTHING except the artillery and came up about 7000 short.

The unparalleled randomness of how many enemies appear is incredibly annoying. I played a game where enough enemies appeared at level 11 to net me 10000, and then the next game I played I got 7000. That's terrible. Otherwise, fun game.

I did it buying just artillery, I killed everything with only 800 to spare. How do the golden needle people do it? Since it seems to be different from person to person, I am giving it 4/5

I had the same experience. I kept track of what I made, I killed everything and didn't make enough. I didn't even spend enough to waste one upgrade, yet I was an upgrade and a bit short.

the hard is impossible all i bought was 11k worth of stuff and i needed 14k to finish the ship i would have been 3k sahort even if i didnt buy anything
