the upgrading system is almost essential to most games. a couple (but not all of course) of the most important qualities in a good game are plot development and character development. a complex upgrading system is the easiest way to take care of character development without using a storyline. (hence, the reason that most good mmo's have a complex character upgrading system) it's only natural to be partial to games with a good upgrade system

Clicked the 'mystery upgrade' at lvl 19. #@!*#&!!! lol. On my 2nd try, all my ship parts got lost at lvl 11. Bug maybe? Overall, cool concept and I love/hate the developer's sense of humor.

To make it great get a magnet in the base core, a homing missile at the front base core , 5 turret each side, and 2 lighnting each at the edges

i love this game 5/5 for being a game ive never even thought of and reminds me of the good ol achievment unlocked game...plus i just love games where u upgrade stuff

I like the second graphic style best. Also you make your own fun, so a metacommentary on how people like upgrade systems seems a bit silly - it's just something a lot of people like.

A bit too easy, but super fun!
All you need to do is get a couple maxed turrets and a couple maxed missile launchers paired with a couple max agility to beat this game in a couple minutes.

Johnno, why would it not suck just because of badges? badges are a useless gimmick kongregate uses just to get morons like you to play games.

very easy I beat the game and all badges and upgrades. The magnet upgrade should be called a tractor beam that's on the fritz instead of a magnet since the coins only go to where you were and not go right to your ship like a real magnet would but other then that it was a good game.
