OH SHT ITS A TANK COMING EVERYBODY GET OUT OF THE TRENCH AND RUN TOWARDS IT NOW WITHOUT THINKING TWICE OR EVEN ONCE GO GO GO ALSO WE BETTER SURRENDER WHILE WE'RE BEATING THEM

"sir we didnt get shot be will act like we did then die for no reason then surrender because most of our troops didnt get shot" "ok trooper lets go do even if they miss"
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
sir! weve taken out all there units and the enemy morale is at breaking point! lets surrender, shall we? that happend to me and i was like? WTF???
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Heads up, if you pause the game while mortar (and possibly artillery) is being fired it will continue and it's still lethal.

Edit: once you unlock tanks, bring those out first (1 unit at the start). If you bring out anything else before the tank, its spawn time will delay. I like to bring out the tank then the machinegunners and then assault units. Officers/snipers are not as useful.

Here is a major tip for mid-to-late games: always bring out your Machinegunners first--they are the most effective trench units. You want to establish a defensive line first, so get as many machinegun units (I usually call in 2 at the start) as you can. Then start calling in your assault units to take on enemy trenches. When your artillery, mortars, and gas are ready, concentrate them on the most populated trenches and try to rush your units to overwhelm the enemy. Don't invest in snipers--use assault instead, they are better vs. trenches. Hope this helps.

Not one enemy on the battlefield, I have a tank about to reach the enemy zone, I have three sets of troops in each trench and then they gave up?

This game's morale system can create some pretty hilarious moments. I would have been upset if I didn't find it so funny.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Fun game, but there are many things that are broken. I see a lot of people talking about morale here, but I feel I should also mention that it is slightly unfair to have the germans pumping out 3 tanks in the time it takes for me to make one. (Yes I understand war isn't fair, but still)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the moral algorithm really needs to be reviewed... if I'm in the last trench closing in on the enemy, brought down three tanks, with men still in my trenches, it makes no sense to surrender

Really glitchy. The no mortar reload issue for the enemy is quite annoying. I ended up getting the BOTD thanks to another glitch, where a soldier just started floating right, not firing and ignoring all enemies, capturing their ground.

game start, put the tank, some infantry, aim a anti-tank artilhary on enemy tank, then my tank is destroyed and my army surrender, bunch of scared little girls...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I agree with charlzorz. My units keep surendering at the last mission only beacuse one destroyed tank even if i have two, while germans do nothing even if they are overnumbered, gased and geting shot by everything i've got
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It was cool, up until the final mission in which infinite tanks and enemies having every benefit with you at every disadvantage ruins it. I like a challenge, I don't like to feel the impossibility weighing the game down

Bleargh. This game has plenty of potential, but although there is a new verison that is minimal excuse to not make a few small updates. like alexneb said, if we could replay old levels, that would help and charlzorz, who made a VERY good point that moral algorithim is absurd. I kill 10 guys and the enemy is still standing strong. The enemy kills 4 of my men and my troops surrender, despite having every single trench filled. Finally, the enemy is constantly raining down mortars. That has to be an error in the code of the game, since that is just plain absurd. And so, even though as the game said, war isn't fair, this is just plain absurd.

If you're having trouble with the last level try what I did, just use tanks and fire support. No infantry, just keep sending tanks as fast as you can
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
"sir we are two feet away from taking the enemies territory and they have no men." "OH NO WE ACCIDENTALLY BLEW UP OUR OWN TROOPS LETS SURRENDER"
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you have trouble with the last mission, just spam tanks and fire support. There are so many mines that your infantry just blows up and it drains your morale too fast.

Seems like the majority of people liking this game fall into the group of people which has serious problems with the proper use of: their, there and they're. I're not surprised.

Wait so let me get this straight....You can only fit 3 people with sniper rifles in a trench then everyone will run off and charge while 15 people with normal rifles can fit in a trench? Wow such logic much space very war

Epilepsy warning would have been nice when this game starts. Not kidding here, it really needs one, stop endangering people's health.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Game glitched, and my assault troops ran right past a full trench of Germans to claim victory by reaching the right hand side of the map.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ok - the second stage is rediculous - you can't really do any damage to the men in the trenches because your opponents get air support at faster intervials than you do u_u
