the last level is relies heavily on luck...unless there is some way to prevent deaths by land mine and barbed wire that i am unaware of

Here's a tip for all you whiny (not all but some) ppl Try not sending your units so much and wait until the enemy is getting units ready...then move to thier trench and wait until you kill the next wave (you'll lose less morale)(you lose morale by units dying so....stop sending so much!!!)

hellenion... they didn't have color in 1917? what? was everyone color-blind? yes, this is true. people couldn't see in color until 1950's, when we finally realized the TV had been in color the whole... we just couldn't see it!

Its a good concept, but the AI have too much of an advantage. AI morale takes forever to decrease even a little bit, and the players morale might as well be on a 30 second timer. The mortar fire advantage is way too big, they last longer and are widerspread than the players. Also, only being able to have 3 squads in a trench at one time is painful. The AI always seem to have a bigger army, more accurate and more deadly. Overall, I like the concept, but the AI has been poorly put together, therefore the game has been poorly executed. The upgrade/xp amount that you gain is also painful, especially near mission 5/6 where the above factors prevent you from having a fair chance of winning. Even when you build up a big army, they still get killed and the whole morale depletes. 2/5.

Thats because of upgrades. As I see it status of us is the same with the enemy's, just considering upgrades and strategies. To look it at performance, this game stands on its own in movement but almost like any other games, got encounters when getting too much change of configuration in pixels and frames. This is what happens when theres to many movements on the field (too many soldiers). Weaknesses is that this game doesn't have a script for less encounters so called "laggs" that allows it to sometimes perma-pause, stop-go-stop-go (laggy), or even shut itself down. The positive point is the agility of this game, its as flexible as a rubber which makes it highly competitive. Overall makes it 4/5, in addition to creativity for fun. So the point is, THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!!! 4/5

I hate this game so much. The enemy gets in such bullcrap mortar and artillery rounds, and their strikes recharge twice as fast as yours do. I've lost 10 men in one mortar round. It wouldn't be bad but it drops my morale so freaking low that a single death ends the game. You'd think with 4 squads literally on top of the enemy spawn you wouldn't be losing morale... 0/5, fix your game engine.

Quite fun...well, other than the horrible guilt of sending wave after wave of men to their deaths. It would help if morale was boosted by ground gained though...I'd taken the Germans rightmost trench, had a guy climbing out to take victory...and then my guys surrendered. Also, it'd be good if you could retreat units or merge them, as it's annoying having to take a morale hit by sending low-health units forward to make space in a trench for healthy ones.

Other thoughts (mostly in response to the whiners): Don't let people re-spec mid-game, that's just dumb. (Imagine WWII Germany realizing it was going to lose the war, and trading in all its tank and airforce tech for nuclear capability. "Where'd that come from? Where'd London go? Why are the Germans suddenly flying triplanes again?" Not realistic) But, waiting until the player exits the skill purchase menu before committing the changes would help avoid "oops" situations.

Okay. Different strategy tried. Moral of the story? DON'T USE TANKS. They're not worth the morale hit when they blow.

I wouldn't mind morale being somewhat related to how far forward you've advanced in a battle. In the last battle, a little after I successfully secure the first trench (tanks intact), a mortar pops one of the riflemen bringing up the rear and... "FAIL".

Now iam getting an add about kongregate labs, and it goes black after that. I think these stupid ass kongregate labs adds are messing the loading of this game up.

there is a 3 unit limit per trench... keep that in mind, it's very important. you can force them to leave if you first click on the switch button bellow the trench and then click on one of the three buttons that shows a unit.
