The units aren't really balanced. I passed the game by spamming assault soldiers. By the final stats, 50% of my units were assault units. Riflement got mowed down when they encountered a trench, machine gunners had to sit in trenches to be useful where they just sucked up mortar or artillery shots, snipers useless because you had to wait so long to make one, officers made no noticable difference, and tanks had such a long cooldown time that they were unbuildable.
Which isn't to say I think this is a bad game, I just think it needs a bit of refinement. One MAJOR improvement in my books would be to put the reinforcements on seperate times. Then I'd actually want to produce other things than assaults. As well the ability to make your soldiers wait for their comrads without a trench would be useful. The ability to set "delay flags", points that your soldiers would wait at until unlocked like trenches, would make me feel less like my soldiers where genetically crossed with lemmings.

An interesting game with very, very bad game balance. There's way, way too much random. I've run the last mission several times now with an almost identical strategy each time: spawn a tank and then spam assault units. The results have varied so wildly as to be obscene; just looking at my initial push, I've gone anywhere from crushing the first enemy tank on top of its own first trench to having my entire army get slaughtered without ever killing the tank. And it gets even worse after the initial push; having a minefield that seems to have better than 50/50 shot of blowing up any infantry that run across it /even if they are running directly in my tank's tracks/ means that any momentum I get can be instantly broken by a chain of reinforcements that never even make it to the front line.
I'd like to see more of the game, but first I'd like to feel like what I am doing has something to do with whether I am winning or not.

the amount of points u have on the end isnt fixed.... u get more exp from winning games through ur enemy surrendering so at the end ull have more exp= more points

for those people who dont know how to get a moral victory just go the first level and stay in a trench(nobody in the trech will die)

Protip: On the last level, deploy NO tanks. Deploy attack squads and officers, while using your supports to knock out the enemy tanks and troops.

Would be nice to distinguish which unit is which while in the trenches. When the gunner in your Lewis team dies and leaves behind two worthless ammo loaders who won't pick up the machine gun, I want to be able to direct them specifically over the top to make room for another gunner. Instead, I'm frequently forced to send all the injured squads over the top, sacrificing useful units.
Alternatively, you could just have the remaining squad members pick up the most useful weapon?
