Why are you guys whining about surrendering with tanks? Tanks do not make it impossible for you to surrender. You surrendered because you were a poor leader. Never make a tank if your a poor leader because then it wouldn't help at all. Like some morons make tanks just to get blown-up by an Anti-Tank shell. Do not complain about losing with tanks. Many times in war we must surrender/retreat, like in World War II. Do you think we only surrendered when everyone one of our people were dead in a certain skirmish?
Tanks are great and all, so are bombers, and jeeps, and etc. but a poor leader makes a poor army.

Last mission I had 2 tanks and a full feild of men and somehow right when I was about to take thier ground I lost what the hell was that moral? They seriously need to work that out -.-

might want a menu button at the skirmish window
good game, but just too fast. might consider putting more features into it that might extend play, maybe extend the fields more and add a fog of war (unless you have sniper/scouts... or maybe an aerial recon feature), that would make you reserve your fire support and other timers. Plus it would add another layer of difficulty by not knowing exactly what's beyond the next few rows of trenches.

Since when do men surrender when they're winning, lost less troops, and have killed two of the enemies tanks?!?!? It's insane. The morale of my troops constantly decays while the enemies morale is perfectly fine. Sure, they lose Joe and Bob... and Fred, Leon, George, Will, Thomas, James, Charlie, Henry, and Jack... and Danny and Peter. No, that doesn't matter. Because they're German, and no one is named those crazy names in Germany... Except Thomas, Will and maybe James.

Yeah - randomly got a surrender. Need artillery apparently. Would have probalby won byconquest but there was so much lag it was essentially on auto play.

Hi kong, yes please give all the crappy games badges first then after 5 years after release give the better version badges that came out first....

Not sure how to get the morale victory as I always just take the land.
Side scrolling is very glitchy.
Fairly simple game really but controls make it frustrating at times.

I like this game but the morale needs some serious tweaking. I understand it's mainly to prevent unit spam, but in levels like the last one where you clearly have to attack it just doesn't work right. Even if you are clearly winning in all categories and are holding the the enemy trenches you can lose to a morale hit from a mortar or a tank death. Very fustrating and unnecessary.

Finished mission 8 then the map went schizo and said 'undefined'. Ended up losing all the game data and there's no way I'm starting again. It's good, but not that good.

Good game, with the exception of how you can have 85% of the screen, with only 2 more soldiers to beat and then surrender because morale is low.

Dude! You just completed the Ending the War to End All Wars achievement in Warfare: 1917
Yay! All badges and card! Pretty good game, 5/5 and favd.

One problem with this game (as with other march-across-the-screen games) - the men are stupid. My own men will march right into my own gas attack. There needs to be a "stop" command.

Its a geat game since it comes from a classic game idea. Id let infantry possibility to retreat to trenchs or decide stop in middle of the field.
A hint for lvl9 battle, I used only tanks and air attacks. ;)

Great! 5/5 Cool graphics. If u use tactics and choose your upgrades wisely, it gets really easy. I won last level without losing a single unit. Definitely deserves a sequel.

Great game. Retreat option would be nice, though...
Unfortunately, the card and badges don't work for me. I'll try again later...

Rating:
Starts with 3.
Unnecessarily difficult -1(there is no way to retreat your troops to the trenches or make them hold position);
At least one thing that made me angrily turn off the computer and watch TV -1(twice I lost because the enemy tanks come in the upper part of the screen while I can only target the middle of the screen);
=> 1/5 I tried playing it before it got badges and it was such a bad game that I couldn't find the will power to finish it.
It could have been such a great game...

This is a pretty good game. The graphics look pretty good and I like how more infantry and fire support open up as you get into the game. Overall, the game is too easy though, unless I just got lucky my first time through. It would be nice to know how experience is calculated. I finished the game with less than half of the upgrades, which is disappointing and there isn't enough variety in this game to want to play it more just to get more upgrades. 4/5

Needs an xp bonus based on time. I can complete most missions with my first wave of men, but if I do, then I don't get any xp.

Mostly good, though has a few problems.
Opposite side has the most awesome accuracy with artillery while your's couldn't hit a barn door from 5ft away.
Also the moral impacts, you blow up their tank and then loose yours, (or visa versa) you end up lower (Well I always ended up) and thus my troops would surrender shortly after while the computer would hardly ever drop enough to surrender
