Wow... lvl 1 side mission with a boss that was three people whose combo hit all three of my peeps for 2k a pop..... imbalanced?

@poubelle3000: Auto-fight is one of the planned new features. I really hope that argunas will be able to take over (I would ask to do it myself, but I don't know anything about coding in AS3, I can't afford expensive compilers and my RL tends to get chaotic from time to time.) I know what you mean ... with one of my offline-teams I died at floor 80+ of 102 because of one wrong click. Random Boss encounters are a bit over-the-top, as their power increases with the floor number. Glad to see, though, that there are still people who give the game a chance and actually like it. :-)

The Dev should not give up, he should see what's wrong and modify it. I like the game really much, but honnestly doing a 130 areas dungeon and dying in one turn at the 114th area is more than frustrating...
This game is not as hard as many people say, if you know how to play you can rule a lvl 99 dungeon at lvl 30 (just hire a tank with golden/chaos stuff [some special guest can do the trick], and a dps with slay/might weapon, they are not rare and use chili + AP boost combo, you can win everything without a scratch). But it indeed becomes boring when fights are slow and there is no way to skip them (fleeing, or auto-battle would be very welcomed). The "craft" system is cool, but when you have to do 100 times a 100 area dungeon to get a single weapon there is something wrong. Keep up the good work, it has a great potential !

imbalance imbalance imbalance!!, you earn too little and you need way too much expensive item just for a material needed, by the time you crafted your goal item.. there would be 2 or 3 item that you wanted rathere than the current item., HMPF., it was great but imbalance.,

@Miriamne Mara So instead of making the game better he just gave up? That's a very bad mindset when it comes to making things. You don't quit, you make people eat their words and show them how great you can make it. If you're willing to give up on something, then you didn't put much effort into it to begin with.

@SimplySaneSycho: Glad that you ask. Saki Kazue aka argunas is one of the official game testers. They were planning a new update with new features. When the hate attacks started, Rudy decided that he rather concertrates on his new project. Saki Kazue aka argunas might take over (hopefully so), she just doesn't have much time at the moment. There also was a game wiki planned. Be patient, people ... (and no, the developers and testers didn't bribe me, I just like this game for being unique, even though I agree that the category and description might be a bit misguiding).

So I did some browsing on youtube and found that a person named Saki Kazue has a custom version that allows you to level up mercs at the tavern. Maybe i'm missing something but why hasn't this been implemented in the game yet?

level 1 random dungeon, level 1 enemies the entire way through. Boss fight is 3 level 4's that wipe the floor with me in 1 round. over 750 hp damage to all three teammates in one round. What kind of unbalanced POS are you trying to foist on the community, and who in their right mind gave this unfinished piece badges?

this....sucks t(-_-*t) wutt I battled a dude with over 10000 life for a piece of leather???? and guess what? Hmm... Knocking over a few level 5's, I then do a level 3 for an easy level, and find the boss has 3x's the health of anything I'd seen before and wipes the floor. Umm...

To those who complains about grinding: Well, what can you expect from the makers of Epic War Saga, AKA, Epic Farming Saga?
And the same for most of his games.. Good artwork, gameplay and all, but with your approach to gaming you force players to work, not to play. Not a good idea. I'll tell you that.
If you balance it out a little more, it will be great and appealing for all kinds of players. You guys are one of the greatest flash game makers IMO, don't let your name be marred with comments below your games that cries out how unfair grinding is in your games..

Cool game, just in special mission ''Meet Programmer'' , I selected portal somewhere on area 60-70 and then there was a boss battle (NO BACKUPS!) I had CarMen,girl which has Omega Sword...but it was useless...That devil boss had more than 500000 hp,I am sure...and devils surely have around 50 resist slash, pierce and magic...so...I took around 150000 hp and then when it was devil's turn,in 2 shots he destroyed all my hunters...it destroyed another one girl which has 70% parry chance and 10508 health...so I think it isn't really fair... 5 stars!!!

I got seriuos and deadly formation: Have a Mage with Icing and freezing staff at the end position; place Dual weapons character at the middle; and a character with most HP and Shield at Front!!! Just don't attack with your shield character, only use Mage and dualer: Attack first with mage then attack with Dualer (BUT NOT Immediately!!, Wait until the Mage have reloaded at least half of it's action bar, but also keep an eye on Combo Link Bar, don't let it down. Keep Comboing only with Dualer and Mage. Don't use your Shield Character AT ALL...!
BTW: With such Formation i'm kill everything quite easily XD
+++ So everybody can see this Good Tip. ;)

AWFULL GAME 1/5: wanders 7 lvl's higher, the 3 bosses with 3, grinding grinding grinding with to little gain. Doing 50 normal dungeon before you can reach story #2 WTF, and resources cost way to much for crafting

There's something completely wrong with a game that awards you for leveling up... only to have something lower than your starting level annihilate your entire 15+ team.

i just want to say to those having trouble that if you tried and looked at advice in the comments you wouldn't wonder why the game has a 3.5 and instead question your self on game stuff. yes it is unpolished but it actually is an ok game since you can do things such as grind a little for your hunter rank and the bosses aren't that hard as many high level kong users are saying. also the badges are easy to get once you grind a little. for people who don't realize that this game is easy then try offline first so you can get the hang of it instead of complaining like the guys who didn't read the instructions.

Additional notes: Like others already said, it is possible to save AP and control your attacks to a certain degree. Use your grinding time and easier battles to experiment and observe. Proper timing and order of attacks sometimes is the key. Against weaker opponents, waste an AP or two to make sure that in the next battle you can start with the attack of your choice (the attacks are triggered in order). For medium levels, Lucy is a good pusher when fighting 3 enemies at once, she either hits them 8 times so that your first sword attack will start at combo 9 or kicks them in place so that you can damage them all at once with one hit. Stay away from dungeons with 60+ areas until you have a team member or two with the "Slay" skill and tons of AP-Boosters, Chili Peppers and Phoenix Blessings equipped. Random Bosses at high floor numbers are one-hit-killers and can have one million or even more HP.
Hope these comments can help new players a bit and reduce the amount of frustration.

It's karmic retribution when a game has dropped 0.3 rating point for badges. I'd love to see this game drop below the 3.5 "Top Rated" threshold.

Continue.: With Ling in your team, start alternating between new missions and "The Depth". When you reach a new Hunter Rank, check the tavern and stores. Also keep track of your class rank. Especially when playing offline, you probably want to make your avatar a rogue/assassin.
Once you are able to beat Leia from "Lost Mage?" without using any items, you make this your grinding spot. Same for "Legendary Silver Wolf II". When you raise your Hunter Rank early, you will get better items earlier, your own character won't be always in the back and you will need less grinding (all you might have to farm for is money and/or components).
With one of my offline teams, with the described method, my avatar was a rogue, had the Ninja Suit, Ninja Hood, Twin Estoc/Dragon Sabre+Garuda Shield and was solo-fighting at around level 30. (Until I unlocked Viegraff, then Gabe.)

Tip: Use "The Depth" instead of "Don't Bully Me" for grinding. It might take a bit longer, but Jacky and Lulu are able to kill the Boss in 3 turns (and he won't kill you in his 2 turns). That way you have to chance to find useful items in treasure boxes (even Chili Peppers if you are lucky) or might encounter Loki from the Secret Store (good chances in that dungeon). Most important: you get 100 HR points for beating this mission (for "Don't Bully Me" you get only 10). After Beating "Guardian" 5 times, you are Hunter Rank 1 and now can replace Jacky by Ling. The higher your hunter rank, the more and better items are available at the regular and secret shop. So do not go after XP and gold only, but also try to raise your HR as soon as possible.

Level 28 and you can't do level 2? Don't blame the game, blame yourself. I'm level 19 and I've been clearing level 25 and level 30 missions 2x gold ore 1 titanium ore, and the 3 gold ore mission quite consistently. The trick is to use buy iron skins and have chili peppers. On hard boss fights, use iron skins, heal yourself and use skips until you have 20 AP, then use a chili pepper and hopefully you built your avatar for dps, and you just use him and should do all of boss's hp.

i love the combat where you get to click on your avatar picture to attack...but i have infinite health potions that heals all of your HP.

CelticHammer is right about what he is saying those items should be easier to get and also you should be able to sell items to get at least a little money
