What would make this interesting is if you incorporated this as a game mechanic. By combining certain materials (and with a little bit of gold) you can make items that serve a purpose. Not to mention it would make an interesting RTS tech tree =P

I think this game would be more fun if the hint button told you what one of the next items is, instead of telling you which groups to combine. Then, the player would have to reason out what to combine rather than being given a set of trial and error.

@EvilRada. well, there is some truth to "water+bread = beer" because bread and beer both go through fermentation to be produced. The only thing that doesn't make sense in that equation is the lack of alcohol.

@ Taar. How does dough+mushrooms =bread? You need HEAT to bake bread, hence the fire.
My complaint would be that water+bread does not = beer.

Everything should have a result. It doesn't have to be different for each one but at least it'll keep more interesting

Great game, but logic quickly gives way to random clicking and dragging, and abusing the hint generator. However, with elements like Ghost and Skyscraper what do you expect? Intro is funny, and the game is well thought out. 5/5 for strong atheist undertones, haha.

@ Oscariosis: I think that comes from striking two stones together to make a spark- you still have the stones, plus you can start a fire.

It would be nice if some things were mutually exclusive. For example, you may have firearms, but then you can't have wizards. Just an idea, might get it to be more interesting if that leads you to reveal, say, 100 elements by choosing two or three different paths. Like alternative endings. In order to reveal ALL elements (maybe 150 in all) you may have to play the game two or three times, this adds value to it. 5/5 anyway for a very original idea.

There should also be a meter that counts the different REACTIONS. Such as: Lizard + Lizard = Egg, Bird + Bird = Egg, got it now? So if they have a list, the different CORRECT reactions (even if the result is the same) should count as "beating the game".
