Hello Mike,
New waves of research are released in later Ages. The first batch is meant to be completed before the end of the first Age, so that all players have a chance to catch up, even ones that start later on.

Great game - However, you should have an option to mark targets on your map. Leaving a red crosshair, or a green shield or a yellow question mark would be good methods to choose which bases will die or which bases you are working on diplomacy with.
Hello DC, to take over a village you must recruit a Governor to rule it. Governor units are made at the Palace building, and require Chests (75,000 silver each) to recruit. Once you have a Governor you can send it with attacks (make sure to escort it well, they are fragile). Each time a Governor hits a target it reduces the "Yea"; once they "Yea" drops below 50 you take over the village permanently! (This is usually 3-4 hits)
Well, unless someone else attacks and tries to take it from you.

50 servants for 30 kreds isnt working. i have the kreds as well. wanted the 500 free ones for the first day of the new server. when i click on it the buy window pops up but it is empty.
Sorry about that Bobby. We have fixed the bug that was messing up purchases for players on Kongregate since yesterday. Please email our support team at Support@realmofempires.com and they will make sure you get everything you were supposed, and a few extra for your trouble.

Would be nice if we could see the notes we write on villages without having to click on the village. It would make navigating the map much easier.

"(Starting the windmill) Oops! This is taking for a while... Tap to refresh if you feel it's stuck!"
but it takes forever to start the windmill, my connection is fine, perhaps its a login bug?
If you are having any consistent issues with that, please email support@realmofempires.com and describe the problem, along with the browser you use to play. That shouldn't be happening, and may be a cache issue of some sort.

Was getting really bored of realm I was in, especially with all the cheating that was happening near me, and wanted to join another realm when it opened, hopefully within the 1st week. Enough time had passed and no new realm was visible to me. To confirm my suspicions, I made another account and sure enough, a new realm had been opened. It really is amazing the ways in which devs are jerks.

Something that would also be great would be the option to create a private chat with one or more other players. It would really help clanmates plan and strategize, and would promote player interaction.

Lol ff2d, maybe thats why they let people cheat. Maybe they think not letting people cheat would be infringement of rights.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
great idea eragon314, theres a lot of feature they can and should grab from other similar types of games. dont know about infringement rights though.

I have an idea, what if we could see a history of all past attacks/spies in each village's profile. That way we can get a good idea of our past interactions with a village by just clicking on the village, instead of having to sift through pages of battle logs to find a specific report. To take this further, clan mates could also be able to see each others' battle logs on enemy villages or rebel villages - it would make communication a lot easier, and would reduce potential confusion within clans during battles.
This is an awesome idea, and one I know is on the big list of things we'd like to do when time permits. No promises, but everyone agrees it would be cool and useful. :)

BDAENTERTAINMENT, regretfully, I must inform you that saying "Period" does not mean it is over. According to the rules that are published in game, cheating did in fact occur. Now, if you want to pretend the things you put in writing and say are the rules really aren't the rules, okay then. BUT when you create your oral history of rules not published in game, do not claim that these rules, counter to the rules published in game, do not affect game play. I have played quite a few games of this sort, and none would allow the blatant merging of accounts that this game does. Since you deem it legal, doesnt mean it isnt bs.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
BDAENTERTAINMENT, you misunderstood my use of "extremely negligible". It was a play on words, you see you dismissed a big problem as negligible, and so when I used "extremely negligible" it was meant to read as an extreme problem that is vastly upsetting game balance.
Soon, the player in question will be number 1 in the quadrant, and still have a lot more free, uncontested developed villages to take from the account he stewards. In what world is that a negligible impact?
On one hand I understand where you are coming from. The rules on stewardship can be clearer, and we are going to discuss them very soon to do just that. Many changes have happened to the stewardship feature since it was created but the rules have not kept up. ~
I tried to find the scenario you are talking about even without the case reference numbers. (Would still love those so I can be sure!) After some digging, I believe I found the right one. In that specific scenario there was clearly no cheating occurring. Period. The player not only gave the steward permission, the player was also still logging in and helping give away his villages every day. ~

Sorry BDAENTERTAINMENT, but that is simply not true. Moreover, quite a few openly discuss this problem in the game, in addition to other fun techniques like making quick dummy accounts to knock down later. But regarding " Moreover, the sort of incidents I believe you are speaking about are of completely negligible impact - they are at best a *minor convenience* " - if by negligible impact it made my neighbor skyrocket in the rankings to top 5 in the realm by being able to merge with an account then ya, it was extremely negligible.
Copernicus,
You have a reply to your PM; please supply those case numbers so we can actually discuss specific concerns that you have.
If you were talking about stewarded accounts giving away villages, then yes, the difference is extremely negligible. If not, then I apologize for misunderstanding you and would appreciate your clarification.

FB players are now watching short video clips for 2 servants each video, unlimited i believe too. Wish konkregate had offers like that. if i start another realm will be with new acct through FB.
Videos for servants, man that would be cool. (I joke a little because we've been trying to do that for a while and there is only very limited amounts working at the moment. Definitely not unlimited!) Currently those kinds of offers do not work on Kongregate, but we have future plans to enable those on the mobile app (which everyone can access). But first, we have to get the basic idea working properly so... you're not missing much, and by the time you are, we'll hopefully have a solution.

It's unfortunate that the top upvoted comment is about how the devs caring, because it simply is not true. Sure the may care about some things, and the game is definitely decent. But in the world of online multiplayer games, the most important way to "care" is to actually care about and stop when people cheat.
This game is filled with a great many multiple account cheaters. It is then backed up by people who provocatively break the rules regarding stewards. (rules that the "caring" dev hasnt updated since 2011).
The devs have virtually no mechanism to catch cheating, and barely act when its proven that someone has broken the very rules that they published.
I'm sorry that you seem to have had some sort of poor experience, Copernicus. However, many of the things you are saying here are simply not true. The customer support team has a variety of effective tools for determining whether cheating occurred, and those who are caught are punished - up to and including global bans. The stewardship rules you speak of were linked to inside the game client until recently, and we are working to update them everywhere to avoid confusion. Moreover, the sort of incidents I believe you are speaking about are of completely negligible impact - they are at best a *minor convenience* for players exiting the game on their own terms, NOT the sort of multi-account abuse that upsets game balance.

if you are lucky enough to be left alone and grow you can play with very little money spent if any at all. but to be a serious player you will need to use thousands of servants your very first week. there are many players that have many thousands of servants. overall i like the game, my first realm i am growing and flourishing but every realm after that not so lucky. join a decent clan and play through FB(extra free gifts) FB players have a huge advantage because of these extra gifts.
Gift and servant balance is something we care about a lot. We are actually experimenting with a new feature in two realms right now - code named "servant rescue." This feature rewards active players who have time by giving them a way to earn servants just by playing the game. :)

I'm having trouble accessing the game through Kongregate. The game window says: "Oops! There was a problem logging you in with your Kongregate account! Please try again"
Please contact support@realmofempires.com if this is still a problem. It is probably a cache issue and can be solved by using a different browser or following a few steps to clear your RoE data on your current browser.
Accounts are not wiped. You may be trying to access the game from a different portal than before? Try contacting support@realmofempires.com if you have questions.

While I hate the p2w (Pay to win) side of anything, I like this game as a whole. All I would ay, is that quite a lot of players just start, and then seconds after, they quit. After their protection has run out, if someone is at 16 or 17 points, I would say remove them. Just my opinion :3
We're currently testing a few new features, some for fun and some for convenience. One of them changes the way raiding works, so that you can get more than silver when you attack rebels; another is new protection mode meant to enable players to go enjoy a RL vacation without worrying about RoE.

very frustrating to find out was auto placed in a realm some 50-60 days after start when they were apparently realms that were 1-2 weeks old.
it is almost as if the devs are being deceitful on this. from what i can gather, because i didnt have a previous lvl, this game assumes you must be a noob and sends you to be cannon fodder for ppl who have a 2 month old empire.
Hello Copernicus,
New players to the game are placed into realms with other new players. These realms have slower base speeds and extra protections for players when they are starting out - they also have a higher density of rebels and abandoned villages so that new players can expand more safely. These realms remain open for about 2 to 2.5 months before we make a new one; we can't do things too much faster or the realms won't have enough players to have an interesting end game.
There plenty of players who have joined later on in the new-player realms and established powerful empires. Those realms tend to be less aggressive and most people still have plenty of chances to grow. I'm sorry if your experience was the exception to that.

Again, Awesome game guys, Maybe some more special event realms and another RX realm would be nice because the one currently going seems to move slowly and the number of villages isn't changing much at all. Having great fun, keep up the great work, 5/5/5/5/5/5/5/5.
Thank you, The Guy! We are actually having an entire tournament season of RXs through October, and we have some more special events planned after that. Hope you enjoy! :)

Why can you see a spy attack coming? Isn't the whole purpose of a spy to be undetected? I mean I get it if they fail you can see them but you shouldn't be able to see the incoming spy attack.
You only get a chance of seeing spies incoming - the chance depends on how many spies you have versus how many are coming at you. This represents your own scouts and spies preventing the enemy from getting good intelligence on you. Hope that explanation helps!
Some times there are cookie issues. I suggest trying to clear those, or using a different browser to see if you can log in OK. If both of those fail or you just want more direct help, please email support@realmofempires.com

i dont like the new attack system its annoying to have all of your units attacking and then you have to set certain ones to 0 from whatever they are. also i see myself making many more attacking mistakes with the system i already made one and i didnt even realize it until an hour after it was sent. Its just too much information at one time espcially if a person has several villages. the old one was more streamlined
Thank you for the feedback! We are always looking to improve the game. Please let us know what you think about the War Room after using it for a few weeks, and if you still feel the same way.
