Even the difficulty was balanced, the first level is hard, the tanks are awful to kill with the basic weapons (at the end of level, the 5 tank are impossible to destroy. This game is too hard for me.

After hours of playing I finally get all badges. Game is good but I think it could be better.
P.S. If someone didn't get last badge (Ultimate Untouchable Medal) after defeating last level just complete first level with hardcore device and you will get it :)

I enjoyed the game same as i enjoyed MC and MC2. You had to redo levels a bit to get the exp to buy weapons that levelled the playing field a bit. I enjoyed this overall.

it would be AWSOME! if we could have special upgrades that r weightless like a extra life in battle or 2 mini ships helping u in battle that would be AWSOME! ^_^

@blob62. Not everyone is an English speaker. Judging by the use of 'Azote' for nitrogen I'm guessing that the designer is francophone (which makes sense 'cause I've seen the same sort of grammer-isms from Bezerk before).

Overall a good game. I disagree about it not being in the spirit of the other games...seems like they did a decent job of bringing the essentials of MC over to a platform shooter.
What I'm wondering about though is do the mini-bosses ever drop bonuses? It seems really backwards to me that I'm being rewarded for killing the mooks but not the big guys.

*finally beats first level* Oh thank god... "Unfortunately they had time to send our position to their fleet. We can expect a massive invasion force." If that was their idea of a recon unit, Then i cant wait to see their idea of an invasion force.

I beat the game with Hellfire Cannon, Homing Cluster, Heavy Bulletproof Cockpit, Aerodynamic Velocity Wings and Gravity Engine.
Most of that stuff is maxed level equipment so if you get stuck just keep playing the level until you can get it then it will be fine XD

Things that need to be changed. 1. First mission is hard to beat and takes to many times of retrying. 2. If you play on their website you get 10% more xp. 3. Movement is to slow on ship at the beginning unless using the attachment for 1 hp. 4. It should say if you get a new item and then ask if you want to change your ship (I found it annoying when i wanted to retry and then found out i had something new to add/change.)

2 thing: 1. easiest way to play is to put something lightweight on the spacebar like a nail clippers or pen. Pick a guided missile as secondary weapon and let it autofire. most bosses you can sit in 1 place and let your guided missiles kill him without taking damage. 2. where is my mech???!!! I don't see how another arcade shooter fits into the MC series

Nice shooter, but I was expecting something a little less formulaic given this game's history. Nice execution though.

this isnt mechanical commando, mechanical commando is where u walk around in a mech and blow stuff up, not an arcade with a plane, im srry i know this isnt MC3, but it seems to me that MC is getting into the where it makes multiple knock-offs of the game and it doesnt do very wel.. but if you were looking for a fun arcade shoot up everything but keep dodging game, this is the game

I think everyone should use the hardcore device when starting the game, because it helps generate extra experience while teaching you one of the most valuable lessons in a game like this..DODGE!!!!!

just played the last level, and i ask myself: who ffs would attack the biggest ship of the enemy from the only side on which is has cannons, bfgs and lasers??? (luckily i found a spot where the flagship hits you only with every 50th bullet it fires in the last phase ;))

A BIG, FRICKIN HUGE TANK, and you can only shoot a small part of it? What happened to the other shots that go right over it? Do they barely graze it?

I'm stuck on the last one now.
And I don't think everyone's looking at this in the right way. It's not claiming to be MC3, it's an expansion of MC2 Not a whole new game.
