If not for the need to grind, this would be a great game. But, in order to advance past the first city, you must grind and grind and continue to grind.

Wanted to start over so I could work up a new talent tree, deleted and reset. Possible bug here: The London goals were still showing as completed though and could not be done, they weren't reset like everything else

I dont think this game takes too much grinding, although perhaps I'm not far enough in, and perhaps since some of the original comments they've changed the settings. What bugs me is the amount of time you spend killing already disabled opponents. Once they can't attack you the mercy or no mercy decision should come into play. Or the tactic of "chop of one arm on each one" shouldn't be so effective, so the battle actually continues as a battle.

The Crowd asks for Blood!" *Execute* DEATH..."Hmm, the next team looks hard, let's fight that one again" "but we killed-" "You heard me!

Pay to play? You surely have failed big time. Berzerker studios is one of my favourites all around, but this is a terrible mistake.
Anyways, no fun in grinding hours to get equipment, slave market is bugged (why paying a slave more money, when their stats are still reset to 10?), some classes seems to be fairly useless (Retiarius? why I should wait till level 55 before I can use the only skill that defines him as an actual net-using gladiator?)

I just chopped 3 guys' legs off but then I bled to death so one of them grew an extra leg, charged at me and finished me off. Then they all raised up and started to cheer.

Grind, grind, grind, gold doesn't keep up with level and the rewards from blacksmith are so far beyond what you can afford that it is clear this game only cares about trying to force you to pay or waste hours grinding. 1/5

loved it, but the like facebook link too close to the fight scroll, and it will click the facebook again and again. very annoying. I hoped that Berzerkstudios can fix this

It says speed increases the frequency of your turn, but all it seems to do is make you go first, not take turns more frequently...

Great... Since when does "delete all" mean "delete your character, but not goal progress"? Delete all should delete goal progress as well, otherwise it's not delete all...

the 1 thing i hate it when your character arms heal go to 0 they can't attack this mean that if you have 3 character and the arms is at 0 hp YOUR DOOM there no way you just look your guy get kill in front of you can you instead make the hit% go down for about around 15-20%, and the grind part made me quit after the first 1 hours of the game it sad because it seem to be a good game

my favorite kind of rpg
the game deserves a solid A, though it has some imperfections: the scrolling system in colliseum, the skill tree is a bit narrow, it needs more goals per city, weapon efficiency imbalance

well this game is trying to mimic "swords & sandals"
nice try, some more advanced gameplay but S&S is way better and way more fun!!!

despite the bugs and the grinding i would like to see more put into the game such as animals and being able to design the slaves once youve bought them it takes a long time to get a "set" of similar people for your crew if youve got a theme

Fights should finish early when all your opponent can do is appeal to crowd and wait to bleed out. It's simply not fun to wait when you already know outcome.

Okay, is it just me or does the crowd always want to kill the darker skinned characters and show mercy for the lighter skin ones. Random streak or super-subliminal bigotry? You decide. Tonight on Sally.
