I like the little bits of (mostly) accurate history spread into the game, but it would be nicer to see greater detail to accuracy paid in a Roman Gladiatorial game.

Why not MERGE the blacksmith and the shop, the template this game follows (gladiators/armor/weps etc) never have them seperate. plus it's annoying to misclick and getting the wrong thing

If the shield arm is disabled, then they shouldn't be able to block, if I'm wielding a two handed sword and I lose an arm, I should be able to punch. Awesome game despite other small things.

Strength is your primary stat. Keep DEX and SPD near 20, everything else into STR. A team of 3 Dimachaerus with that build will win you everything up to Alexandria. As soon as your dudes hit level 41, reset them and put the skillpoints in the Murmillo tree instead. Counter attack (and a good shield + spear) allowed me to beat Rome's #1 team with the guys I had since Londinium at level 35.

I think live multiplayer would be brilliant in this type of game.. Just hope you get it right PVP can be very hit and miss.

I clicked "blood" after I've won, my one-legged warrior suddenly sprang up and ran towards enemies with 1 leg, and executed them all.

For the goals with mulitiple occurences (like cut off 25 arms), there should be a counter similar to Kong's "best so far:" on badges.
Also, defense is totally useless. Im too busy attacking to waste a turn defending. Maybe it could work as a slight multiplier towards armor?
And a purely cosmetic problem: the armor gauge on arms is not set right. For example, when I was in lower fights, a guy had 100 arm armor and I hit 50. The gauge only showed the blue removed up to about his wrist.
Still rating 5/5 because, well, its highly addictive lol. Stayed up til 2:45 playing the first night, even though I was totally exhausted. Sooo great game

I get the concept of blocking increasing block chance,but when they block 20 hits in a row its just a waste of time...It'd be nice to see the chance of blocks lowered, or change it to block only part of the damage.

the colluseum is bugged one of my guy disembowled an enemy then one of my guys attacked him even when he was dead.

Ok first thing: I listen to comedy in the background (rather low volume comedy) turns on this game and my speakers go ARRRRRRRH in my face... not a good experience -.-

Difficulty at later towns is too high... in 4th town my team kept losing lots of battles because most hits missed. To win i had to play myself which was quite boring.

And btw this game is NOT impossible to win. Just play with 2 counter defence and 1 heavy dmg one with a lot of speed!

The fact that the "block" appears only after the camera moved forth and back in case of counter attack is a bit annoying. No big deal though

when your slaves get killed should they not disappear (ie die)? There could be a way to bribe them to have mercy, but should not get to restart like it never happened. perhaps armour is lost. Also damaged armour could be repaired for a price, but not become great after each battle even when destroyed

of course my opponent could throw a spear threw a bottlecap 200 ft. away and i couldnt hit a brick wall with a hammer

Armour needs to let some damage threw. Say Armor of 300, hit for 100 might do 5 damage to body and 95 damage to the armor. Some types of armor let in less damage, some weapons bypass armor better. As is the healing spells are pointless, you don't get injured until you're armor is completely gone, at which point healing is pointless because you can't keep up with damage.

When u decide to execute or to have mercy, it would be good if ur character could make not only the same repetitive action, more variety?

After lots of playing, I found out that: 1. SPEED works, just not as much as you'd expect. I get faster/double turns for some of my glads with really high SPEED, when it's 3x1 in the end of battle. 2. The non-dead legless guys are useful to HEAL and MP-BOOST. I had a few "who bleeds out first" end-games, and I won through extensive HEALING. So, I'd also like to have a single-guy RETREAT button like in Monsters Den, but it's not always needed. 3. I hate enemies using SHIELD BLOCK or whatever. All I can do then, is just BLOCK myself and wait until the idiot stops crouching, to finish him off in, hopefully, one turn. Sometimes, this prolongs the battle for minutes, with the lone shielded idiot with the counter-strike ability making my three glads cheer the crowd endlessly...

why do i get to LOOSE points??? some of mi characters are LOOSING speed, strentgh etc, so i have to refilled, whit only 3 poinrs by level im getting stock

At some point (about the third city), the Slave Market starts to be way overpriced, the slaves costs about 150k, that's insane...
The missing formula is clearly wrong too. Played for more than five hours and with a high dex and about 87% chance of hiting, I was hitting just 2/3 times (66%)... With high dex your chances should be about 90% or higher, and it should really mean.

i had problems in higher tiers of tarus till i used this setup. it consist of 1 heavy hitter (dimacherus), a support (provocatores) and a kind of tank (murmillo). you need bout lvl 25 to get a full rotation, and the tank needs 160 mp at least. at first you gotta watch your enemies focus, react to it by use "protect" . Then keep spamming "boost morale" on the tank, and well, deal dmg ofc. avoid dmg by using shield bash with your tank as it keeps his defensive stance high, otherwise youll loose your tank quite fast. once your tank reaches the 150 mp cost of protect again, refresh it on the main focus target. dont let your tank sink under 30 mp as this is needed for shield bash. further critical parts: high body armor of tank (hits will allways go there), strong tank shield (you dont want hits^^) and a mid speed support and a low speed tank (support must be faster then the tank), additional high charisma on support as you cant keep it all up otherwise.

90% and mis 3 hit consecutiv that is a bug o the game is joking me.
The drops and shops need to change the items you get and the ones that your oponentas have are very very! diferent and the slave merchant is bad. You need to optimise the IA too

I just want the creator of the game to know: this could have been the best flash game on the internet. Instead, because you put zero effort into beta testing, it's a horribly unbalanced and rigged game. Such a shame.

Do not kill, easy. Disembowel, break 2 bodyparts other than torso, behead, execute. This is killing, let em bleed their asses or dont overkill their head or body........
