I just downrated the game. I came to the conclusion that is full of crap when it comes to calculating misses and criticals. Apparently tossing a fork can kill a limb like no big deal. It's just impossible to play strategically this way.

Good game, but I have some nitpicks: the penalty for losing and being executed should be stricter. As it is, you don't lose gladiators, equipment, or anything. You should lose *something*: XP, equipment. At least the equipment that got broken should be lost forever. As it is, I don't feel scared to lose a fight, which is a bad thing...

Yep. When torso starts giving two forms of bleeding damage, it can't be healed and that's BS. It kills any form of defensive strategy and ruins a lot of good fights. I'm really pissed right now.

the AI seems to wanna do more work, for the most part. theres one guy with 750 armor on his helm, but only 191 hp. so thats a total of 941 damage needed, meanwhile his torso has like 400, and they go for the helm because it has less hp. they should really go for less work, not less hp.

Almost the only game I've been playing recently. Having a bit of a problem where it doesn't seem to load completely; says it does, the preloader finishes, then I go straight into battle, it blanks out, and the battle menu pops back up and I can't do anything.

One thing I really hate is that when a limb or torso start giving dealing bleed damage, it doesn't stop even if you heal it. That's rubbish.

not sure if this is on purpose or not but an enemy takes 10% damage to the body when bleeding because of a broken limb but if they are wearing armor the damage is more because the armor and health add together then the 10% damage is dealt for example 100 health makes them lose 10 health a turn but if still wearing armor and armor is 100 then they lose 20 health a turn is that an accident or not

Toggable battle speed FTW. If possible, a description on what your current skill does now and what next level will do. For instance: "+4% speed. Next level +8% speed". Great. great game

Its not just you. The contenders in Rome are grossly overpowered in comparison to the gear you can buy or get dropped by other teams. At level cap with the best gear ive been able to muster, all 3 of my gladiators still get pretty much one shot on each round. Not to mention the to hit ratio against contenders is somewhere near 50%. My dual wielder gets crits upward of around 300, while contenders tear me apart with crits of 600-700+.

Shield bashing really needs to be nerfed. My 200 DEF Shield-basherman was bashing his shield with this 100 DEF Shield-basherman of Athens. Despite the fact that I had my Trident-thrower lobbing his 60 DEX tridents at the guy, the game went on for like 15 minutes because it's near impossible to hit a high-DEF guy who spams shield-bash.

To get better stuff from the blacksmith: unplug your internet before you let him craft stuff for you. If you get what you want, replug it and keep playing. If you don't like what you got, close the game, replug your internet, reload the page, and try again.

also need to be able to choose what kind of gear the blacksmith makes. felt ~really~ awesome using all my metal at level cap to get 10 shields and 3 shoulderguards

so if youre going to have the contenders in rome hit for 3 times as much as i do at lvl cap, you should put in some better random gear in the shop.

I encountered a glitch where on the third city Venus' Forces when i do battle with them overlapping the writing on the second guy are three big question marks, and when i try to do battle the game crashes, any tips on how to fix this?

Could you add a "Skip Turn" button, so we don't have to waste 5 mins killing a disabled enemy who's on the floor 'crowd appraisal'-ing himself to death.

Here's a hint:
2 of your 3 fighters should be organised as follows:
- an armorbreaker
- a finisher
have them both level up in the tree that contains armor break and equip them both a strong 2hander. Stack 2/3 dex and 1/3 str
Make sure the armor breaker has at least 1 more speed then the other so his attacks will come first
If you're starting to reach ~lv15, putting them both on auto-attack will have the following result:
the armorbreaker breaks the armor of one enemy fighter and the finisher will immediately finish him off.
You'll never have to fight more than 2 enemies, the 3rd dies in first round.

Its pretty funny when one of my guys misses an enemy who's leg has been crushed. Maybe a bonus to hit chance on disabled enemies???

a 'next fight' button, or perhaps have it scroll down to your rank all the time instead of having to scroll down manually (especially if you've just started a new town, this would be helpful)

I tried starting the game several times; let's me create and modify a character, then it immediately goes into an arena and the battle is immediately lost, with no fighting. then it takes me to the tutorial area, but every time I click on a link there, the screen goes black.
