Fishsticks1, yes in town 4 you don't need to grind money, but in town 7 and 8 , you won't complete it, because weapons cost about 15 000- 20 000

One more thing the level curve its horrible later on. Your enemies will be like at least 10 levels higher (20 currently) unless you grind for exp... you wont be able to beat the game. And the leveling is truly slow

omg. Bad system of goals. I made it like 3 or 4 times and it doesn't count. Cut 6 arms - cut and no goal. Win without losing gladiator - Won and no goal again. So 2/5 to the game.

We could use some more details about the skills we can get. Which one is defense? wHich ones speed? Anything about srength?

im in fourth city, and i havnt had to grind, not sure what people complain about grinding or money, though im sure i wont be buying another slave from any city 200000 for a slave that isn't equipped well, no thanks

Tarsus: "win a combat without losing a gladiator." I just won a match in Tarsus without any of my gladiators even being hit once at all...still did not get this achievement.

PCs attack enemies after they've already been vanquished (sometimes even bringing them back from the dead to be slain again!)

SERIOUSLY AT HIGH STAGES SHIELD + BLOCKING IS SO OVERPOWERED. You will miss for 3+ rounds with 50 dexterity in a row. PLUS HE HAVE a Counter. IF he block you hits, he will hit you back. NOT EVEN FAIR.

Oh my team spent a grueling 10 minutes fighting fully armored opponents in the first arena, when i have basic equipment because of
the games flawed mechanics, and now we all can't make a move? Lets sit here and press crowd appeal a hundred time as I wait for myself to bleed out.

There's a glitch with the "block" and "protect" countdowns. For example if you "protect" someone they'll jump in front of someone for one turn but the counter still says "protecting" for another 2, without it doing anything.
Also when you shield bash it'll display "blocking (remaining 5turns)" but the counter never goes down, staying at 5.

very good game, i just started playing and check the goals then searched for 5 minutes and couldnt find any passive match stats e.g amount of gladiators killed amount spared or amount of gladiatiors decapitated. if this isnt already added plz add it

Oh yeah, and PS: 5/5 stars for this great game. I get it having premium content isn't fun... i just find it funny how no one seems to argue against getting paid for their own work, but are so quick to pummel those who try to make a buck from theirs, if the work in case is a freaking awesome flash game! Logic fails me here... Also i fail to see how having in-game paying cheats on a non-multiplayer game, ruins the experience for everyone........ considering the revenue crap games like farmville are getting from milking couch potatos (potato milk does sound delicious), it really ticks me off to see people criticize these guys for trying to make a living.
PS: sorry about the spam...

For anyone finding the game too hard, all i can offer is what has been working out for me so far: spreading points evenly across all traits except speed (get it up to 20-30 and you'll be fine) and charisma (don't spend a single point here); have one Thraex gladiator (max out the first two skills, 1 point on the third, max the fourth); have another Dimachaerus (max out the 2nd and 4th skills); the third gladiator is up to you (i had another Dimachaerus but changed it to a Retiarus, a Murmillo might be good too). Then give the Thraex a two-handed weapon and the best armor, leaving the weakest for the Retiarus or Murmillo. Armor value varies between gladiator classes, helmets are generally not very important as it's the part of the body harder to hit, shoulders are extremely important for Retiarus and two-hand wielders, not so much for Thraex, torsos and legs are the weakest spots, and good torso armor is hard to find, so don't look at expenses when you find a decent one. Have fun.

Bug: Once any gladiator controlled by the player exceeds level 10, their level is not indicated anymore when you hover over the gladiator's avatar.

I exagerated a bit, headless n torsoless are dead and don't get attacked, but other than that I was speaking the truth :P

I don't understand all the whining about the game being unbalanced. that may be just you failing to upgrade your gladiators properly. The first three towns were a breeze for me. I've only just now hit a wall on lv.6 of Tarsus Coliseum. I've got my team of three fully armored and sporting mostly blue and yellow items. I've completed all goals so far. Money hasn't been a problem since leaving the first town. I've got so much i've actually been wasting it resetting skills back and forth and experimenting and buying items left and right for the tiniest of stat differences...

All the enemies always gang up on my main character right away... and he always ends up crippled after 1-2 rounds. Happens that way every single match, no matter what I do.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
On Auto fight, my team attacks the enemies which are already down. Headless, armless, torsoless and legless... Enemies who can't attack are being targeted by the whole team, while the last enemy who still can fight back isn't being targeted for 3-5 rounds til he dies of bleading out too much... needs fixing or additional options on who to attack :P A game that can keep me awake thru the night is a 5/5

i don't think i get the loot bonus when executing enemies :( ah, and the slave-problem is still annoying. a lot of things are overpriced. Besides, a very good game, and the soundtrack is as badass as always :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
What's all this about having to grind? I never had to grind for everything unless I was being cheap and wanted to get loot weaponry. It's a little monotonous after a while, yeah- the executions could've used more animations, especially the ones for the blood after-battle choice, but the big thing, in my opinion, is that I feel the developers missed a real opportunity with the crowd/morale mechanics. That could've put some much-needed variety in this game.

I think there should be more ways to attack from the back and more healing skills. That way you can have a healer/mp booster slave to support fighting ones.

This is going to sound incredibly lazy, but i would LOVE a "Repeat" button, as I commonly attack the same strength to the same limb of the same foe
