If female characters could fart on other teams would that give us extra turns? Or they would fart hard enough to fly out of the colisum?

Needs a semiautomatic mode.
For example you might set a list of three orders for each gladiator, which are then used automatically. If the first can't be used (e.g. MP too low, limb unusable or target unavailable): Use the second one and so on. If none of them can be used, wait for the user to interact manually or set a new list.

I dont get it... the crowd asked for blood and they still live!?!? Basically I can still fight him any time I want and no matter how many times I chop thier heads off, stab them on the head, make thier intenstine lose, chop their arms, and chop their legs, they still live and I can fight them again? Did the grim reaper get fired or what?

The mechanic of choosing where to attack seems a little flawed. All you have to do is take out a leg and that person is essentially dead.

Also what is the point of cure? It doesn't stop bleeding, fix a wounded limb (cut off I understand why that wouldn't work), or fix armor (Again I understand). All I can see is that it wastes MP and a turn. It doesn't even heal all that much. If it could bring a downed (not dead or decapitated) ally back then it would be worth having.

I really hate how my throwing / trident wielding guys jump to the front row when they have no melee skills...only throw. (When on auto control) I can just manual control...but its so much slower.

How do you win a match without "losing" a gladiator? I'm having a hard time fulfilling that particular goal in Tarsus.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Limbs & Purposes:
Arms - Remove all blood/cut off from an arm to disable that weapon/shield (two-handed weapons are useless if one arm dismembered).
Legs - Remove all blood from/cut off a leg to disable all movement (Can still throw spears/use some skills)
Head - Generally most armored, Remove all blood from/cut off to disable gladiator
Body - If a limb has lost all blood, the body will bleed, regardless of armor. Remove all blood from/disembowel to disable/kill gladiator.
POPULAR STRATEGIES: VSing a team - Remove all blood from the least armored limb (usually arms), then repeat on another gladiator, until all are losing blood in the body. After all gladiators are losing blood in the body, disembowel the most recently attacked gladiator.
VSing a 1 man team - Go for the body to quickly kill.
TO CUT OFF A LIMB: Arm = -30+ hp
Leg = -30+ hp
Body(Disembowel) = -51+ hp
Head = -30+ hp
+ to keep this comment alive for newbies :D

Clear definitions for the following: Cut, disembowel, ......There are probably a few more and I seem kinda silly just asking for two. However, I am having difficulty getting the goals even though I am fulfilling the supposed requirements during the fights. Also maybe a counter to see how close we are to completing the goals. I also don't much like how the blacksmith is random about what he gives you. Either way good game.

It would be nice to have damage flashes in grey for armor damage and separate flashes in red for personal damage, as well as some way of telling which part is bleeding how much. I agree with several other previous commenters that progress towards awards should be displayed somewhere. The damage requirements for limb severing and disembowelment should be clear, and not vague levels of severity. Certain limb severings should prevent more actions; for example severed legs should prevent dodging. Certain severings should also make it easier to hit other places; for example if someone doesn't have a left arm it should be easier to hit their body because there is no weapon or shield or arm in the way. Perhaps a realism mode where injuries stick around more permanently, weapons and armor break and stay broken, etc.? I think you have a special game here which has the most potential I've seen in a very long time, and so I'm going to rate it 5/5 in good faith that you'll keep improving it.

This is a great game overall, but it has a few annoying flaws and could definitely do with some other non-necessary but certainly helpful additions. The slave market is still buggy, and the blocking stance granted by the shield block ability is buggy too. Enemies enjoy the full amount of blocking turns, but the player's allies only get the blocking stance until their next turn, regardless of what the tag says.

Its pretty cool in the beginning, but turns into grinding after 4th City, which i guess will become worse with every consequential city.

Hmm..This is quite odd, It seems that if you have a partner on auto they will still attack a disemboweled enemy. I had all my team on auto, one of them disemboweled a enemy, then they attack at his arms till the enemy eventually bled out. Just a little bug I thought I should point out. Still a great game 5/5!

ok, i dont know if im the only one with this problem but my teamates over the past 3 days have attacked an oppnent who already is without a turn.

@JimJ6: It doesn't seem to be a chance to decapitate & such, its just that you need to overkill the limb by enough. I don't know the exact number, but it seems to be about 30% of the limb's HPs. So if a head is down to 50/500 health, you'd need to overkill it by 150, which means the last hit has to be 200+ 30% is a guess, but its somewhere around there.

No matter what I do, I can't achieve the Tarsus goal "win a bout without losing a gladiator". My completioner's heart bleeds.

also 1 for head 2 for left arm 3 for torso 4 for right arm 5 for left leg 6 for right leg. so strong attack to torso would be E 3, weak to left leg would be Q 5 etc just to speed things along

hot keys would be nice; 1-5 top to bottom of the current screen or qwe for light medium strong since they are likely the most used buttons

Is it just me or do NONE of the 'Win x battles without losing a gladiator" achievements work? As Marigolds said, even without taking damage, or killing the opposing team.. And giving them Mercy.

Great game but I can't stand the guitar combat music, it feels very out of place with the rest of the game. I think that there should be an option for alternative music more fitting to the theme, like the main menu music is.

Won combat in tarsus without even having any -armor- damage. All the other gladiators lived too. Still no achievement. Stumped on that one.

Does anyone else feel that the electric guitar combat music feels horribly out of place and kills the theme? I think you should have combat music more like the menu music, or at least an option for it.
