well i guess it has a little potential. but so far i'm half through the third city and its a boring-ass game. just concentrate fire on one gladiator at a time whatever is the most effective spot to hit them (least armor, biggest effect on their ability to figth back) and you win 100%

BUG ??? ... i have bought a gladiator on slave market, his stats were reset giving some points back, but points were not enough to get stats shown on slave market ... what is the point of this ?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ok i hands down think this is a great game 5 person teams would make it better and people farming and grinding isnt a bad thing dont complain because a game doesnt want you to progress through it in an hour and you dont need to buy anything just grind for the in game coins

@ Buugg, Obviously you can not claim to have god-like equips from 4th level or be a super fighter hitting always the head (the hardest target) 4 of 4?
My tip is: DON'T craft immediately the metals just have them, because the equip stats/power depend of your actual level (so low level = crappy items).
For miss rate, add much points on Dexterity and/or Dexterity Boost skill and aim to legs/arms. If you cut-off a leg the enemy can't attack you ;)

I really don't know why people whine about "pay-for-win". If you are patient you can gain metals (bronze, iron and gold ones) doing the goals in coliseum.
*But* if you hurry to get better equip, well, it's an other discussion.
This game is good but not perfect, there are some bugs or imbalances (like the overpowered shield bash skill with counter attack) but the Berzerk guys are smart and they "listen" (read) our comments for improve this little jewel :)

seriously...
I miss 3 of 4 hits having 75% chance to hit and lose battle...
I click craft and get some crappy item immediatly...
I buy nother gladiator only to see I got one with total difeerent stats...
Not sure if it's beta or you just released crapy product.
Game schould be fun to play not frustrating... 2/5

Nevermind, I figured out how to sell things. My main problem with this game is that it lacks clear instructions on how to play. There's a brief tutorial and that's all.

Money grubbing jerks. A site that says free games should say free games, unless you want to enjoy them, then you gotta pay. What about the broke kids out there with no cash or parent's stolen credit cards?

I dont know what the grinding complaints are really. I very rarely had to redo any fights and i made enough to keep moving on. Half way into second city and havent lost yet.
Im using a Power Attacking 2hander, a Thrower, and a Dual Wielder.

found a minor bug. when one of my team mates attacked a decapitated guy, he suddenly got his head back on and where alive (though he was defeated).

The support Berserk button overlaps the scroll bar in the coliseum menu. Not if appearance though only in the programming.

This is not hard people, you just need to be patient and that´s all really I am on the third city and I just have playing an hour and a half; I rate this game 5/5 excellent job BerzerkStudio.

Oh, and another thing; despite the prices and stats that slaves allegedly have before you buy them, every single time I get one their skills always revert back to base. Now granted, their levels still stick and you can still use their skill points and everything, but it's just another little technical issue.

everytime i click row it goes forward then the next time back then forward then back so i cant attack cause im too far away?? is it a bug or what??

Dear Berzerk Studio: Please go back to making fun games instead of trying to be Zynga's obnoxious younger cousin. Thanks.

I've reached the 4th city and I've had no trouble at all reaching this point so far, and have more money than I need, only thing that's limiting me is waiting for more good items in the shop ( have 16k, most expensive items are about 2k). In contrast, I need to spend over 155k to get a level 20 slave? Uh, I really hope that gets balanced. Other than that, it gets easy after you get basic armor on your guys and just becomes a grindfest. Gets boring when all you need to do is spam armor break and strong attacks to the head or body (if you rip off their limbs watch them take forever to bleed out). There needs to be a rebalancing for body part hp/armor because I would rather not go through 2 sets of armor to kill them through limbs as opposed to a KO if I just go for the head.

Some of the goals aren't registering. I just won a match without losing a gladiator in Tarsus, and I haven't been awarded the completion.

tip for easy money: while grinding for money and exp, don't use mercy, always choose blood... when you get the extra loot, don't choose instead always take all, it can be sold for quite an amount at some point, even a 100 gold is worth the time in this game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So I'm really confused. When I have one of my guys in the back row, he cannot melee but the enemies can melee him? What the hell's the point in sending him in the back then?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Considering that you don't lose anything for losing or forfeiting a battle, the game is nothing but a grind fest. Losing the battle? Just keep quitting until you win... Where's the challenge? It's also pretty annoying when you're enemy is kneeling on the ground with a decapitated leg, and they somehow manage to dodge a body blow.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Once no remaining enemy can attack the battle should go to the mercy or blood option. When they don't have skills to heal and can't do anything but bleed and get smashed on for 20 turns it seems like an obvious thing to do :D

Honestly, what it looks like here is that there were previous features that got hastily scrapped and never quite fully fixed or rebalanced. For example, when one uses higher level shield bashes the icon indicates that the blocking effect will last for multiple turns. Well, it doesn't. The icon disappears and you stop blocking as soon as your turn rolls around again. The amount of damage done to armor doesn't actually seem to convert on a 1 to 1 ratio, but I'm not sure if that's intended. Another thing, what's up with rows and alleged 'row penalties' or w/e it talks about on the throw skill? Because literally the only effect the rows have that I've been able to discern has been that you can't melee attack from the back row to the other back row. That's it. Otherwise rows seem to have no effect at all. Of course I could be missing something, but as is the case with most of the things I've said, I have no idea what's what since we're provided very few details.

it would be nice if there was an option to switch to auto- in the middle of combat so i didn't have to sit around clicking buttons while my opponents bleed out of their missing limbs...

There are a shocking number of tech probs here considering the dev. Also, the descriptions for what certain stats/items do are extremely vague. Speed looks utterly useless as turns go in order no matter what. It might affect who gets first turn, but that's hardly worth investing in. In the case of defense I'm not exactly sure what 'increases your chance to block' means, and just based on the description defense doesn't look useful in beyond blocking in wait for someone to bleed out or shield bashing. I'm seriously hoping, and am pretty sure, it also decreases your chance to get hit, but there's no guarantee because we get little to no actual indication. I'm not 100% sure what charisma does either, and whether it just increases the 'crowd appeal' action or if it has some other function. I'll have to use another comment box here...

The economic system is out of whack. Recruiting and outfitting a team takes way too much grinding to get cash. Combat system is interesting, but pounding away on armor turn after turn gets dull fast.

Wow, this is a great game, but maybe a bit of a mistake within your priorities. Lots of people are complaining about grinding, and I have to say, I'm inclined to agree. I enjoyed the beta which was only on your website though. Also, the premium isn't working out. Maybe for next game, just chuck in a couple more ads, maybe make a small donation like Monsters Den: Chronicles did?
