I think i should win if the only move my opponent can do is appeal to audience, or at least have an 100% chance to hit them
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
just to be clear, when i say switch protectors, i mean the most recent character to use protect. Sometimes the character that used protect most recent would jump in to take/block the hit, but other times the previous protector would still jump in and block/die.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
one more thing, I play the game with 2 protectors, when the first one begins to lose all of its armor, i normally switch protectors, but sometimes the switch doesn't work, and the previous protector takes the hit and ends up dying.

Why does the music and sound in battle still play when I turn it all the way down in the map menu? At least -1 for that alone. Sometimes that music and those cries of pain gets really repetitive.

Deleting the game does not remove achievements, something irritating to discover as I can no longer get the early benefit of +good
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm not sure, but i think the glitch i was talking about had to do with the character only have 1 dex, I switched out the helm that had -2 dex for one that added dex, and the problem seemed to have been solved.

It's a wonderful game, could use some spices. The pay to play flash-games usually turn me away instantly, but this one seems to stick longer. It needs some random events or maybe try to add some story to it. Very good game, not perfect. 4/5

Provocatores is awful. Dimacharaerus and Thraex both do good damage but are easily taken out. Retarius is better than both, just sit in the back row and use Throw. Murmillo is by far the best b/c Shield Bash is OP, their damage is a little lower than the other classes (except Provocatores) but they are IMPOSSIBLE to kill.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
if you could increase the battle size to six instead of three and take a way the change row and maybe at archers and net guys
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the block and protect would work on the first turn but after that if you try to block and still have 4 turns of protect left, it just does nothing, I'd have to shield bash to be able to block while in protect mode.

Please make the animations actually connect, where it looks like the weapon actually hits the opponent you know? +1's so they can see and no I'm not desperate for a top comment :3

I've been playing for a little bit, and think it's a pretty neat game. I don't really mind the grinding, but I noticed something. There appears to be no bows! I am dissapointed about that, but overall it's pretty decent.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm not sure if the not being able to block and protect at the same time comes from having too high of a defense or too low of a dexterity, but the stats on the character that receives the glitch is
charisma: 84
str:33
dex:1
def:251
speed:27
vit:17
dmg:69-112
armor:1680
hp:937
mp:194

I think I found a visual bug: When I break off the limb of a person holding a two handed weapon the other limb just disappears and the weapon starts floating?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
sorry for such a negative review, but the first couple hours of playing this game was grinding for resets & it really killed the excitement of the game. maybe if i knew more about what each skill did or how stats affected each other i could've skipped all that

So my awsome warrior killed the middle guy and kept decapitating that guy's body under he was satisfied while completely ignoring the upper and lower to people who were waving their clubs and swords. I was going like, you serious!?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
another glitch is. sometimes protect wouldn't work properly, the user of the skill would jump in front of of the protectee without being in the blocking position and take a direct hit with no chance of blocking at all.

Guys,Rpgs are always about Grinding. If you can't even figure that out, then you needn't play.I give this a 5/5 because its quite easy to get loot and those are worth quite a lot sometimes.

Gladiators never heal on auto. A guy with a broken arm who can't attack or use any other skill just does crowd appeal over and over

(ruler) let him live and fight another day!
(gladiater) ok!
(slash)
(ruler) you fool you have slain him!
(gladiater) yes i do rule i slain him like you said!
(ruler) oh well give him extra loot!

the enemy with the shields are like overpower every time i try to attack it always blocks me and if they do a power attack they hit me while i do like 5 power attacks and miss.

lol it's so funny how when eve u jump back the whole coliseum shakes....I am thinking''am i that over weight?'' lmfao at this
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
alright this is my stratagem for this game so far, attack the right leg. Cut off the right leg. Wait a few turns. Enemy dies of bloodloss.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
#1 Colosseum spelled wrong on purpose?
#2 Rework skill trees, some skills don't really make sense with the theme of their tree (i.e. the passive dex boost for the heavy hitting skill tree?)
Other than that, I guess it's alright. A solid 4/5 game. No swords and sandals... but a nice similar game. Also, for a free to play game, not too shabby!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
resetting stats is WAY over priced, to try diff battle combinations i had to spend all of my gold on resetting. meaning grinding constantly w/ very little gain. this game would probably flow quickly enough if you spent money on it, but w/ free features only it's inferior to games like it

If you change your Gladiators mode to Auto the KI will attack allready slain enemys till a second limp has been "destroyed".
If you cut of their head the enemys body is on the ground, just as normal. But when there is no other real threat (They cut of other hand or legs of other gladiators so they cant attack) the KI is able to attack the already killed gladiator and tries to cut of another limb though he is already dead.
I think this problem is linked to the KI as the order to disable to limps to make sure an opponent is dead, but the KI does not take it into account that some damage already made the opponent "dead".
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
you should have different attack animations for every weapon
depending on the logical way you would attack with that weapon and have different attack animations for different areas of the body you attack

Umm...BUG: I leveled and received no points to spend. Thought maybe I mis-saw it somehow, leveled again, AGAIN received no skill or attribute points to spend.

Unsure if people have said this already, but the thumbs up/thumbs down thing is wrong. Thumbs up meant cut their throat and thumbs down meant sheathe your sword. Not a bit thing, but something I noticed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So, my gladiators, when on auto, somehow are able to attack disembowled enemies? And they also attack downed enemies when there are still enemies standing... It is really frustrating because I really like the auto-attack mode. They are really smart about their attacks until someone gets downed. Then they just become completely stupid.

After the short time during which you're still exploring the newness of the game and it's possibilities, you're quickly bogged down in a repetitive grind-fest. Definitely not a first rate arena-style turn based RPG.
