for all of the ppl who said its hard to get money,in the second city u get like 200 gold each round,so just keep playing so u get more gold! :D

Don't waste your time buying high level slaves. You can only use 3 at a time, and there's no need for more because respecs are only 1000 gold. Get a team of 3 early on, and stick with them. Don't pay stupidly high amounts of gold to buy more and then get stuck dividing up your xp across them. 3 on your team, no more no less.

Now that I'm 7/9 of the way through the game, I'm finding that a lot of complaints and advice people are giving in the posts is invalid. The gold problem is nonexistent. Just keep playing and you'll have more gold than you can spend. The grinding and build advice....not so much. Right now my glads are levels 31-34 and I'm beating teams full of level 47+ glads in Athena consistently. If you need to grind excessively, try changing your build instead.

Oh wow you remember the thing i said about a.i crowd apppealling well i litreally got stuck both enemies and my own gladiators spammed apeal crowd foreve

DooM Ace is right, the slave stats shown before purchase are totally unrelated to the stats after purchase. Considering she has one weapon that doesn't augment stats I doubt gear is the issue.

How is it that a team of a single guy without much armor is somehow higher ranked than a fully stocked team with armor covering every body part?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it seems a real mistake to make it essentially impossible to get the weird "metals" for the blacksmith. as far as i can tell, you can only get 2 for playing the first location or possibly the entire game. 4/5 .
Too much grinding too. 3/5 . the tutorial only explains the common-sense part of the game, ignore things like "row" which i still have no idea what it does. 2/5

I would be great if we could redistribute stat/skill points be4 accepting them after advancing to the next level. I sometimes accidentaly spend my skill points wrong and can't make it up.

does this thing have an auto-save or do you have to save it yourself? couldnt find a place to hit save yesterday, so i assumed it saved auto, but when it wouldnt load today...

I wish you could scroll up and down the entire list of gladiators in that town. After you defeat a certain number of enemies there is a cutoff point where you can no long go below and try the fights you might have skipped.

the slave market has buggs i just bout one that said it had a strength of 13 but when i went to look at it after i bought it only has 10 S

After /decapitating/ his opponent, my gladiator proceeded to dismember and disembowel him.
What I imagine his mentality was? "I'll kill you so hard you'll die to death!"

jsut a suggestion but when a team mate is downed and cant attack how about crowd appeal goes towards teamates that arent down

This is a pretty bad game - the fights are often a forgone conclusion from the middle, and you have people without limbs who you still have to tell what to do with no way to fast foward. However, this is a minor gripe - the main problem is that the game seems good at first but the difficulty curve is ridiculous - I went from winning with barely a scratch to getting my entire team wiped out before I could get a hit in, in the space of one fight. Seem like they have made it so you get sucked in and then the only way to progress without major grinding is by paying. Loot is dropped so irregularly, it's not worth going for anything other than extra xp. Items are too expensive, not to mention the slave which are so far out there that the only way to get them would be to pay real money. Didn't you playtest this? A rare miss from Bezerk, seems like a game designed to make money rather first then be a good game second 2/5

A very solid 4.7+ Very much like swords and sandals, but is a more 'Free' version. Despite the learning, and difficulty curve, i have found it to be quite enjoyable. I personally, would enjoy to see this become a series of games. and needs acheivements.

Strange bug, fight was in a stalemate, just waiting for the last member of my team to bleed to death but opposing forces were continuously beating on an all read dead member

auto attack continues to kill the guys who are already dead!!!! then the guys who arent dead take you out everytime!! any way to fix this?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i think that it could be great to have the possibility to bqttle against other palyers, like saving the team, and then, anyone could fight that team, or something like that

Lots of fun! Don´t need to buy anything.
First start with a two hand hero ... get a second two hander and then a dual wielder ;) then just fight again in the first arena vs already beaten crew and earn xp and items!
So u grow and can use skills and equip them as well as possible.
With this crew u can do this over and over again in the other arenas ... if u stuck get xp in older arenas! If u need money buy slaves in the first arena - train them - and sell them with better lvl in the last arena.
With this i got really far till now! Hope it helps u ;-)

As with most games of this type it's very repetitive which gets super boring after a pretty short period of time. Most fights once your opponents are fully armored go like this - aim for the head or body, attack until you win. No point in hammering through two limbs covered in armor when you can just take out the head or body and drop them faster. I originally gave it a 4, but after the monotony of the second city got to me I had to drop it down to a 2 because it's just not a good game. Besides, you can set your gladiators to "auto" and the game plays itself.

Well, seems like the framerate, somehow, drops a hell lot during the battle. In a early build (play'd on Newgrounds) it was ok. Anyone getting this? + this comment, so the Berzerkers can see :D

My gladiators are now all level 38 and killing enemies that are 10+ levels above me doesn't give as much XP as you would expect. Also, I'd like to see some more in-depth description of the skills, some of them are very vague.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I liked the game a lot but I got bored after I conquerd the second city.
Reasons:
-skill upgrading needs to go faster, why do I need to spend 15 points on the same upgrade to maximize it? Takes way too long.
-battles take too long due to the enormous amount of armor points.
-loot is ALWAYS crap and buying equipment in the shop is too expensive, this makes it very difficult too upgrade your characters properly. Receiving a special item when you conquer a city might be a good start.
-okay, you want us to buy gold, but 30.000 for a level 12 gladiator?! that's just ridiculous. At least make an option to bargain or something. And once again: shop is too expensive!
This game has a lot of potential, finish what you started (and delete some things you've started) and it might just get epic.

The AI for player gladiator is maniac, it likes to mutilate dead enemy's body. it only take 2 minor limb to incapacitate enemy but the AI will continue chopping off enemy body and sometimes ignore other living opponent.

Individual turns seem to have too much weight early on. Miss twice in a row and you're pretty much guaranteed to lose the match.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
increasing blocking turns is absolutely pointless. (as any action cancels it out)
secondly, armor is ridiculously overpowered.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Go for 3 polearm users up strength dexterity and a few points in charism (cause most armor up it) and then you are invincible :p
