7 under par got me 3 stars on stage 9, sweet... a nice relief from the 12 under par on the 8th, good game... if your feeling lucky 4/5

Level 8 is just retarded. You have a million comments negative about it here, can only imagine how many you have from the itunes store.

I love golf solitaire and have this game on my iPhone - play it all the time - I have 3 stars on almost all the courses

@Everyone This game is luck i will admit there is the skill of making the right moves but at the end of the day you can make all the right moves and still lose. Since its all about having the right cards in your deck.

It's sad when a game fakes challenge with plain luck and lame odds. You can be skilled and plan your every move, and still get a hard negative score in the last levels just because you need the right cards (and the game does not assure a solution for any given set of cards)... so yeah.... plain luck (90% luck, 10% skill if you will...). 1/5

Level 8 is a nightmare... I've been playing for days and haven't got better than like -1. I got 3 stars on all other levels on the first try, but is it really possible to 3-star level 8?

I desagree of people saying this is more luck than skills. A lot of stages you have 3 of the same card, for exemple. and need to see carefuly whats the best option. Plus, you have these golf clubs, you have to use them with very wisdon, a bunch of levels they able me to do a combo of 18 cards+. Those ones that say it's more lucky just dont know how to play, make angry with the game and do and idiot comment and low rate to the game.

The game's called "fairway solitaire", not fairway chess. Yeah, there's a lot of luck involved. Ever played solitaire before?

Cards remaining in draw deck and being able to retry a specific hole would be nice. I know that's not allowed in golf and that's what this game's themed for, but having them all perfect and then one too many cards when I finish the last one, then having to do them all again for the badge is a little much.

As soon as you need more luck than skill it's just getting anoying. 5/5 for the first 7 stages and stage 9. -3/5 for the lame 8th stage. So: 2/5

This is a VERY difficult "hard" badge imo. However the game is entertaining even playing the same levels over and over, so it's ok.

Is there something I have to do for the badge to recognize I have 3-starred all the courses? For some reason when I reloaded the game it only shows that I have 3 stars on the first two and last two courses...

Buggy saving? Don't know if it's just me, but I have 3 stars on both Jungle Brook and Chaos Club and no badge. Interestingly, it ticked Chaos Club when I completed it but then lost it again when I refreshed to try and get the achievement to update.

The problem with this being so luck based is that one or two "bad luck" holes can completely wipe a -18 par lead. Bullshit. Also, I can't tell you how many times I've had 3 of the same value cards face up on the board and magically pulled two more from the deck. In a row.

Why are people whining about it being so heavily luck based? Has anyone ever played golf solitaire (which this is based on?). That is WAAAYY harder, and there is some skill involved. At the end of the day, it's a card game, the luck is from the random way the cards are dealt. There are added challenges/rewards to keep the game unique and interesting. Without that, people would just complain that it's not "random" enough, like the abilities in Tyrant.

Played it for houres and HATE it now. For 8 and 9 there always is at least one lvl which will completely destroy your result (and if all lvls are possible for one time out of 100, sun setting event will strike you). I know its a card game and I also know card games are all based on luck, but this is ridiculous...

waaaay to much luck involved to be enjoyable. Part of every solitaire games, right. But you don't play solitaire in series of 3/6 games expecting the last games won't mess everything up.
XX under par > next course > draw 15 cards in a row hitting nothing...

If you're having issues, cycle through you highest mission a few times, stopping only to play if you see a club. Don't use any golf clubs or play seriously (unless the golf club is buried), just cycle cards. Eventually, you'll get all the clubs (2-9). Then, playing through ANY of the sets (especially the last 2) can be almost a guaranteed win.

First 7 of 9 courses at 3 stars. When I come back the next morning, save data is wiped and I have to play through 7 courses again to get a shot at the last 2. Maybe next lifetime.

4 straight times I've played Royal Hackenduff...all 4 times I've gotten -3...it's like the game knows!! But still, I've always loved this type of card game, and it's a great spin too it, even if it's frustrating!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh my god, luck is involved. Obviously, it's a card game. Gotta hope the cards that turn up are the cards you need. All card games are based on luck. Quit complaining about it.

While I love this game, and have played it a great many times and enjoyed it each and every time, I would enjoy it more if I could get my hard achievement. Though I've completed all nine levels with a three star completion, it still doesn't say that I've completed the eighth level. So, I'm stuck without a hard badge. D;

Having a card counter in the Golf Shop for the Windows, Mac, iPad and iPhone version is a great help! If you're playing the Windows, Mac, iPad or iPhone version. Which we on Kongregate tend not to be.
