I've bplayed some other hack andslashes that are just bad. For a flash game action style? this game kicks butt. simple? a little, but this could be expanded into a full blown console game.

Valthrl, an hour hitting the same gravestone? You know you can group them up so you can hit 2-4 graves stones at the same time, and building combos equals more xp.
As a side note, great game, love the old sidescroller beat em up games (Bmups rather than Shmups?)

At first to me, it was a game that was repetant, tested your patience, and so forth, but as a kept playing for the card, it grew on me and I learned the patterns of his attacks. 4/5 because I want to shave his nose now xD

innovative gameplay mechanics? are you serious? i suck at this game just like i suck at all the rest of the games that are exactly like this one.

If you die at the same time you level up you can't move or attack and the giant head can't damage you. You have to refresh the entire page to get things to work again.

a little guide:
startegy: always make dodging his attacks first priority.
attack guide:
1. the attack were his beard goes all freaky u take a few steps back. easy.
2. the one where his moustche turns into a razor either run away or jump down/up on to another platform.
3. the laser beam attack is pretty nasty as it can hit u twice then may knock you up/down a platform for another blasting. he always attacks at the top first so go to the bottom platform then the top for the lower level attack.
4. the attack where the pieces of wood drop down is easy if u know how. get under another platform that way if it lands on top u have time 2 avoid it.
5. the fireball attack only happens in part 2 when he turns into a skull ( this guide contains spoilers) & u probalby wont even have 2 try to avoid this as long as u keep a good distance when he uses it.

nice game, original, still, controls need to be fixed.
the jump key only works when yuo'r running, and not always.

Imissyousideways, are you sure you're not under a platform when jumping?
Hypererious, the beam is powerful, but stay behind Tom and you can hit while he shoots the air...
