I played this before Castle Crashers actually came out, I could never beat it until I read the second comment. Listen to that, and you'll have the hard badge in no time.

Two important tips.
1. When Tom is using his laser, move behind him and attack. Your attacks will push him away and therefor you will be able to avoid his laser.
2. When the skeleton is moving towards the place where he will use his fireballs, stand at that place and spam attacks, you will push him away from that point and he wont be able to use his fireballs.

WOO HOO i got it!The tip some1 posted about going behind the head and smaking him away from the edge of the screen during laser helped me alot i got 47 points.I couldve got more if i jumped and hit him when he was lasering the top section tho.

Oh one more thing - if you are not gold by the time you get to the skull, you probably won't beat it fast enough for the badge.

Easy way to beat him (In addition to what Tumalu said). You can actually stand behind him when he uses his laser attack. When he's in the up position hit him from behind, this will push him forwards, when he goes to the bottom stand behind him and hit him as quick as you can (I got a 20 hit combo). Also, if you level up when he's about to use his beard or propeller attacks (you'll see his mouth change for both) it actually cancels them, so you can contunue to hit him after leveling instead of dodging an attack. Rate up so people can see this easy strategy.

Whooohooo just got the hard badge. I just found out a new tip (which helped me attack more and beat him faster with all 3 lives left), so: When he goes for his laser attack, if he is on the LEFT side, go to the LEFT of those platforms and you can keep attacking him until the lasers are done with no interruptions and can amass huge combos for more exp. When he is on the RIGHT side, go the the RIGHT side of those platforms as well. For the skull, basically the best on him is magic (full power magic is best, more damage) because it is ranged and you can also attack him while the magic is attacking him. I got the hard badge this way, hope this helped.

A easy way to dodge the laser is to stand right next to him, away from the direction where the laser is pointing. Then smash him to move him away from the edge of the screen. Since he moves when you hit him you don't have to worry about jumping on the platforms to dodge the laser.

best try 4044 ....bad luck :( I agreed with deli_conker: It could be much funnier, if the player could jump upwards _through_ the patforms. At the moment the main problem is finding the right spot to jump from. BTW at the left side, the right side of the middle platform seems high enough for me ...

The fastest way to level up is to hit all the tombstones at the same time. Reset until they get together. Doing this, I finished the game in less than 3 minutes.

Actually, the best way to deal with him while he's firing his laser it's to get behind his head and hit him from there. If you start hitting him while he's floating in the upper level, you should have pushed him enough towards the opposite direction of the side you're sticking to, so when he gets down you should have enough space to keep hitting him without getting hurt. Once you get used to the patterns it's actually quite easy, just keep trying, you'll eventually get it ;)

The skull shoots when it gets into position. Keep hitting it back as it tries to get into the corners and you'll get more hits in while taking less.

Loved the game! Once i defeated the human form of i was like all right yea! then he transformed into a skull and then i was like Really? i am going to have to do this again!

was a pain at first, then I noticed, you can go behind his head during the lasers, got under 4 minutes on my first kill XD, it may also just be luck and placement on the grave stones, but if you're atleast the yellow knight before he turns into a skull, you should be able to kill him in time

to get hard badge -
1.) button mash A to chain exp. dodge the beard attack when you see his mouth twitch.
2.) When he shoots lasers. Move to the edge of the screen and attack him, You'll be able to dodge the lasers by being behind him.
3.) Dodge beard. :) and work a combo up. 15+ exp and higher does you good!
4.) For Magic Hold A, till the magic bar goes down completely then release on him. I did this once in his first phase and once during his skull phase.
5.) Chase after him in skull phase and tank a few hits to try and beat him quickly.

Something you should note when you're fighting him: Whenever he goes to the side of the screen to do his laser attack, if you follow him and get to the edge of the screen beside him, then hit him from there and he'll move away from you a bit, and his laser attack will not hit you as long as you're on the side he's not shooting it at. Something to keep in mind.

A great tactic for getting speed is trying to get behind him as he fires his lasers and attacking away for massive combo + EXP, this helps you get a lot of exp to level fast as well as some good quick free damage... the first time I'm saying this but + if this has helped you.

love this game. when hes not using his laser he will come after you dont stay in the middle of his beard stay as far away as you can and the beard will not hit you very many and then read the rest in tumalus comment.
