For everyone complaining on the heat output of extreme coolants: This is the best way to generate exotic particles in the late game. EP is generated based on total heat or total power generated (whichever is lowest). With 23 quad nef cells, some reflectors, plating normal capacitators. And 6 Extreme capacitators cooled by 12 fans each I sell 44Qa power, but more importantly I cool down 22 Qa heat a tick. and it is totally idle (just running in the background). to get this with just nef cells, is almost impossible i guess (or I am too stupid to figure out a good setup). and protium cells need reapplying every few minutes.
So Extreme capcitators are the best way to generate EP in the endgame. (currently 500K EP, and another 70k generated since yesterday)

Might I suggest adding a Perpetual Protium upgrade in the future as well as another upgrade that increases the increment by which Protium cells increase their power output.

Will you f***ers stop thumbing people down because they're confused by aspects of the game, you arrogant elitist bastards.
Madnessman, you're auto selling power, you're selling about 10% of your total power, if your storage is a lot more then your production, you sell it all automaticly. Buy some better storage.

I found an exploit. all you need is one small coolant cell. put a basic heat outlet next to it and surround both with basic fans. when the coolant cell gets close to overheating, delete it and quickly place a new one. when you sell one, you always get back the same amount you paid, so you can use this to your advantage.

i think... i'm beginning to find a balance for inlets and ECa, its a shame i can't use ECo the way i wanted. they don't seem to absorb all that well, was hard to decide if to use 8 on two tiles away (meaning one gap) or just next to capacitors. its best draining to be 2 tiles away and mix with inlets but that cuts down space for more capacitors like crazy. finally when running a "minimally boosted" capacitors, there's still heat issues (platings not strong enough, not the cooling ability). for (rounded numbers) example, inlets take out 25T and the EC capacitors make 5T, but platings still at only 120T with 78 of them.

Suggestion: Update the Help Section! A page to explain Inlets, Outlets, and Exchangers. A page to explain Prestige/Exotic Particles, which can be hidden until the first prestige. A page for "Getting Started" that explains things like Shift+Click and "Scrounge", so new players stop complaining about them. +rep to boost, please.

@KaasChuig: Prestige has the ability to respec. DIRECTLY After "prestigeing" you can respec, as said in the update saction below this game (Feb 28, 2015 5:27am ) .

Prestige needs the ability to respec... or better descriptions of certain items, namely the extreme capacitator. Had I known it produces heat I wouldn't have bought it.

I would love to see a block that would act as a switch where you could set a certain temperature and it would not let heat past till that temperature was passed I can think of a lot of uses for it and I think it would really enhance an already amazing game

Madnessman101, Smash hydrogen-1 atoms together and see what happens. (Well actually, assuming it doesn't spontaneously decompose, you have to smash that product into itself again.)
It was never intended to be Hydrogen, but some sort of other nuclear fuel, in the same way that Dolorium and Nefastium don't actually exist. I totally forgot that Protium was actually a thing, though. I was more using it because of the root word 'prota', meaning 'first', and also because of its ties to the word prototype (Because each subsequent Protium cell is better.)

@soul4hdwn actually it is heat based because the patch notes specifically stated that it was power/heat whichever was lowest. I have read each patch and he didn't mention anything about switching over to strictly power based unless I missed an update somewhere. Also @Clone there was never an offline mode.

We have all these awesome upgrades, and components, but we're still sorely lacking an upgrade for an increase in space. Maybe just have a seperate tab up at the top, displaying the reactors name, and below that, (Heat/Max Heat) over (Power/Max Power), and have an option to disable a reactor in the case you aren't able to actively tend to it.

Perhaps a button that allows manual ticks that works while the factory is paused, with a cooldown period to prevent being spammed. This would allow somebody to test the cooldown of their vents after an upgrade without blowing up the reactor

Can someone post a pattern where Extreme Capacitors are stable?
I'm at a point where I can't sell the power as fast as it's produced and I'm out
of space for Ultimate Capacitors. Ultimate Capacitors could solve the problem but I can't
prevent them from overheating whatever I try :/

@gedanken a few patches ago the dev had to fix gains to not break kong because it was infinity. it is now a multiple slowly decreasing log based formula for gains. patch notes even said this and its why it takes longer to get the higher amounts of prestige. it is ONLY power based for those that think its heat based. shame the patch notes listed on kong has been pushed off.

Someone mentioned already, did you change the EP formula without telling? A few updates in the past I made like 30 EP per minute with Nefastium @ 100 Qa or so. Now I have Protium @ 400 Qi (so 4000 times the power output) an make like 20 EP per minute. When I switch back to the previous Nefastium setup I make like...nothing. The sold energy is about 100 Qa in both cases, although the sold energy is not related to the EP production...or is it now?

It's really good, I like it. I just wish there was some music for it, some sound effects, and maybe even a short little story mode. It's good as is, but you could make it great!

LunaticNeko Many of them get downvoted because they have been answer time and time again. Reviewing the comments section would go a long way. Also any questions answered by doing the tutorial have no business being asked.

@konfu: Because Nefastium can autoreplace itself. As the game is now, I'll use Protium while I'm active because it's way more efficient and Nefastium while I idle. As I see it, Protium is meant to be a "perk" for actually playing.

First of all I really like this game and I welcome the idea to bring more
management aspects to idle games!
However I have a few questions balancing wise:
1. Heat Exchangers and Heat Inlets seem to be completely useless.
I can't see a case were they're doing more than wasting space. Since Fuel Cells
automatically send heat to the reactor why would I use Inlets? I can simply teleport the heat
to a designated cooling area with Outlets and Heat Vents. Just surround each Outlet with 4
Vents and you're good. No need for gaps. Using Heat Exchangers just means less space for
Vents.
What am I missing?
2. Why should I even bother with Nefastium Cells, if Protium Cells are better in
every single aspect? They are cheaper, produce more energy and less heat!
Suggestion: Aside from an auto-upgrade function for Fuel cells a template and/or
copy & paste tool would be great as upgrading a large field of Fuel Cells can be quite tedious.
Thanks for this cool game!

I don't get tool tips for anything in the upgrade panel, so I have no idea what i'm upgrading... Also the infinite button has no tool tip either so I don't know what that does... Can anyone link a page with all buttons explained?

You can remove heat from extreme capacitor by using heat exchangers or inlets. Guys, why do we downvote questions instead of answering them?
