I think the last balance update that fixed the values of components, making them more expensive and increasing their stats was a little overpowered, simply because I was running thorium with ultimate components, then after the update I can run quad seaborgium without any issues, so much so that I can just layer seaborgium and thorium outside my reactor without so much as one heat appearing in my reactor. Other than that, I think that the cost staging between the cells is a little too much, I've been running my aforementioned reactor and still am not able to afford dolorium single cells to even partially fill my reactor. It's either that the cells cost a bit too much, or cells don't generate enough, or you intended it that way, if it's the last thing, completely ignore this entire segment. This is a great game, easily a 5/5 and a favorite. It's simple, fun, and entertaining in the early stages when one cell could send your entire reactor to the ground.

Apparently, the trick to getting several Protium Cells is NOT upgrading things. No unleashed cells, and very few"Active Exchangers" and "Improved Heat Exchangers". That seems... backwards.

I'd love to have an interface where you could set when outlets pump or not, e.g. only pump if heat in reactor > 1T, because if you are cooling indirectly, then the forceful fission upgrade makes no sense because the heat is always at 0.

why do heat vents take on heat from diagonal cells and get destroyed, but they don't cool themselves? yet, other things... like capacitors... which are easily destroyed by heat don't take on heat from diagonal cells

I would like to backup my save file, but I can't find it in %Appdata%/macromedia/flashplayer can anyone help me to find it?

@Kohlenstoff: That is a very good point. Power is pretty useless right now as it takes so long to reach the next upgrade. I'll switch to a hotter design :)

Cael, good job making this game! Please, make an "Donate to the developer" page where players can give you kreds/money. P.S: Mephyst is a good pixel artist :)

@keylole: Your prestige particles are payed with heat or power. But only the lower of both is the actualy paymentr. Mostly heat is the lower value. You need to keep as much heat as possible on to have as much particles as possible. Another reason for burning more is, the more protium you burn, the more powerful it gets.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Kohlenstoff: But I have trouble controlling the power output if I get rid of some of the capacitors. I want this to be as idle as possible.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@keylole: Don't worry, i post them for copying and improving. Try to have 21-22 platings. The platings dertermine how fast the heat moves. 21 or 22 is optimum for this build.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ah Kohlenstoff, that base design is yours. Apologies for not mentioning your name but over the past few days I have tried out many different designs from other people before I found one I liked, and I could not remember whose design was whose. My infused fuel cells upgrade is only level 2. I'll open this game in another tab so I can try out a fourth cell without risking exploding my entire reactor. Thanks for the tip!

How is determined how much exotic particles are produced (and why t f is this question raked down)? I want to know how to optimize my reactor for particle production, since it doesn't seem to scale with power production.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@keylole: My built can take 5 trillion heat per pulse. I guess you have not doubled your cell power with prestige as often, as i did. Otherwise you would have seen an explosion. So i think it is possible for you to install now or soon even 4 protium cells, when you copy my build exactly and place one protium cell in every corner.

unleashed cells is a powerful upgrade working especially for lower Tiers of fuel cells. It's true hat it occurs problems with the higher tiers since they produce massive and unhandable amounts of heat. Maybe let the unleashed upgrade only affect tier 1-5?

aesthetic suggestion:
the statistics look a little bit weird showing these huge sequences of numbers - why not using K,M,B,T,...?

Here is my three protium, each triply boosted design. Stable with no maintenance other than replacing the protium. Need high capacitor, exchanger, and vent upgrades though. http://i.imgur.com/ylHWatO.png The base design was borrowed from another player before I edited it to make it more effective.

Some extra notice is that the Exchanger, now I look at it, is really a stupid device that tries to overheat itself. When a superior vent is cooling itself in a fully normal state, the exchangers tries to take energy from it, creating an unstable thing, and even blow itself up if the unnecessary heat taken is big enough.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well yeah, the unleashed cells is quite a dangerous take, especially when there isn't a decent "balancing" upgrade for it.

with one unvented double seaborgium cell you can make a great heat regulator if you have improved alloys at 2 and improved heat exchangers at 0 2 or 8 with no points in active heat exchangers.
use one ultmate plating and 4 wondrous, 1 duble seaborgium charge . this gives +801.921 per tick at capacity 118.54B
now add 9 points of super heat outlet . each vent connected to your outlet is one point (3 points if at level 2 of heat exchangers, 9 if at 8) so one outlet with 3 vents around it is enough for that at level 2. now you cool 810K with those outlets this means that you have a net loss of 8.079K per tick. this makes your rector both safe and keeps the heat for a looong time.
even if you had 17 ticks per second you would only cool 10% of max per day. and no risk of blowing up.

I am not seeing any of the new upgrade, i have a page for them but there is nothing on the page. Do i have to wait until a certain number of exotic particles or some thing?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think it'd be really nice to upgrade my base power storage beyond just the capacitors, but part of that's my OCD and that the moment you double your capacitors' power bonus, you always have 100 off of a nice even number.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i have a suggestion you should add multiple reactors and each one has its own money because i make videos about this game and i want to have a youtube reactor and a personal reactor
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I suggest updating the UI for in reactor purchases, instead of having Next Page and Previous Page buttons, there should just be tabs which take you straight to the page you want to purchase from.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think Protium should have upgrades specific to it in the Experimental Component's shop such as Enriched Protium, but for a cost of several thousands of exotic particles just for the first upgrade.

I wonder if it would be possible for all heat outlets to get a uniform output rather than weird spikes... playing around with 20 of them right now, and on some annoying occasions, one or two will get almost all the heat in 3-4 ticks blowing apart some of my components, while others get little or nothing...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Quick issue, if there are a bunch of vents and exchangers hooked up, they seem to dupe heat or something. I've been sitting here awhile after my fuel ran out, and I put an inlet in to see what'd happen, and I'm building up tons of heat out of nowhere. I'm pretty certain my reactor can't store as much heat as I'm seeing without any of the bars showing anything.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For everyone complaining that the exchangers and outlets are too powerful for the vents- they move 3 times the heat your vents put out when the upgrades are the same. This makes sense because 1 side is probably connected to something and then you move it to 3 vents. The outlets then allow you to move the maximum amount of heat out of your reactor to the exchangers as possible so that you can vent the maximum your vents can handle. Maybe this will help people with their designs and understanding on why they are as powerful as they are.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Maybe a ep upgrade (Exotic Particles) should be to have a upgrade STAY upgraded to a certain level like, (+1 Lv Enriched Uranium) Due to level 1 being default, this would make it 2, or something like that, this would make speed runners/people who don't like losing EVERYTHING when they prestige, happy.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
On the statistics page, could you either make the numbers show up in an abbreviated form (ie 89.534 Qu), use scientific notation, or use commas?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A huge gigantic big note to everyone: Prestige, in gaming definition, is to *sacrifice* all of you stuff to get reward. So stop complaining that you guys lost your stuff by prestiging 0 EPs.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Olaudix The outlet/inlet are per adjacent component. So, you're pumping 845K heat to each vent. For that reason, you should be very careful to avoid upgrading your "active exchangers" past half of "Active Venting".
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I get 845k overall heat. Each of my Outlets can take 286k which gives 858k total. Each Outlet should take 282k heat and distribute it to 4 Vents which gives 70,5k heat per vent. Each vent can dissipate 95k heat so why my vents overheat and explode?
