Under rating threshold (show) Gah! So many changes! My mind is going to explode!!!

Under rating threshold (show) After the latest update my top tier vents that say they cool themselves at 6.3B a tick over heat when i put two top tier outlets at 506.25M on them (500M *2=1B unless my math is wrong).

Under rating threshold (show) Something doesn't seem right with the display values on this build - a single Double Dolorium cell, which supposedly produces 1.815B heat, is overloading two adjacent Ultimate vents that are supposed to vent 5.313B each with my upgrades.

Under rating threshold (show) I tried a simple build to try heat outlets. Dunno if its good or bad score in that build, for now its fully idle 530B/t (with possibility to improve) Too bad those outlets are still unstable as hell and i dont think i understand them :D All seems nice, no heat on vents, and suddenly they are all heating to 50% capacity and going down again. Worst thing is that sometimes just one vent is getting overheat to 90+% for no reason (rest of vents on >5%) 0o http://pl.tinypic.com/r/2d9qpoz/8

Under rating threshold (show) New build's broke. It says heat vents scale with capacitors and they do, but not as much as the #s say. Either that or the heat output for cells is wrong. 1 Ultimate vent + 3 capacitors = 2.074B/tick and exactly balances 1 dolorium cell at 226.966M.

Under rating threshold (show) Now we need an upgrade for heat outlets.

Under rating threshold (show) okay so apparently heat inlets do not take priority over vents in heat distribution nor can the vents transfer heat into the heat inlets instead of just cooling it away which rrrrrgh would be great if not for the goddamned automatic heat venting.

Under rating threshold (show) Suggestion (pretty usefull one too): It looks like cells display the BASE heat per tick in the info, forgetting about the upgrade that increases ticks per second supposedly making the heat per tick higher with ranks. One should see the ACTUAL heat per tick instead of the BASE. Sorry if i got it wrong but i figured out this was how the 3B (dissipation) heat vents couldn't handle the 1B heat of the cell i was trying to use (since i have rank 7 tick per second upgrade i guess that 1B truly is 7B)

Under rating threshold (show) I think heat is increased with Powerupgrades too. Have no cash for such a upgrade to test the theory...

Under rating threshold (show) My empty reactor currently holds 0/2.727T heat. Adding plates does nothing to this number. Also the same empty reactor holds 0/268.912B Power. Adding capacitors does nothing to this number

Under rating threshold (show) @F7 yup, can make one loop 1 longer, adding 2 elements with reflectors and add another 2 unreflectored elements getting it up to 5.7B/t (3 ups)

Under rating threshold (show) Something wonky is going on with heat outlets and vents. It *says* that my vents lower their heat by 885M per tick, and that my outlets take 506.25M out of the reactor to each component. But hooking one outlet up to 4 surrounding vents causes all four vents to quickly overheat and then explode.

Under rating threshold (show) i probably found a bug my vent lowers the heat by 9/tick double uranium produces 8heat/tick vent should be enough for that cell, but instead of that vent's heat is increased by 4/tick

Under rating threshold (show) Is it intentional that plating automatically vents heat again? I really prefer being able to build a lot of heat and keep it on as long as I didn't use any heat exchangers to having to balance it out with (but now that I think about it this is actually a use for heat inlets so thanks!!)

Under rating threshold (show) Looked like either the desp. got problem or the way it did the math, 1 "1.815B/T" fuel would make a 14x "1.012B/T" vent system gaining heat.

Under rating threshold (show) Quad Dolo makes 8B Heat per Tick surrounded by 4 Vents. Each Vent remove 12B per Tick. 8B - 4x12B = -40B BUT ITS NOT Vents burn down as if it where +40 ....

Under rating threshold (show) with 2 upgrades on Nefastium cells you get 100 T profit per plant if you go afk - best build i have found yet - with shift left klick you can easy empty the coolant cells around every 20 mins if you not go afk https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14330739/dde/best%20build..JPG

Under rating threshold (show) The numbers in the last update are all wrong. 3 vents removing 28.9b heat each in my build are being overheated by a single nefastium cell (51.9b heat). So it's pretty much impossible to play now, not knowing what the real numbers are.

Under rating threshold (show) @F7: see, i knew it ... wait what? Hmm, every 3 days sounds acceptable, and it should be possible to maybe squeeze 1-2 more fuel in, since you have some surplus shielding ... hmm, need to check something ...

Under rating threshold (show) You have something wrong with your heat vents. They say they vent 52.143B/tick (with my build) but they can't sustain a quad dolorium. This makes me sad.

Under rating threshold (show) I really like the look of the new update. However, it looks as if the tool-tip descriptions for the heat vents do not match their actual abilities. My heat vents should be capable of releasing 8B heat, yet act as if they're unaffected by reactor plating and capacitors despite the fact that ive upgraded their vent-assisting attribute - image to demonstrate: http://imgur.com/NtGRbrb

Under rating threshold (show) You can make a 22, 45, 68, 90 minute coolant quad nefastium reactor by pairing them with 1, 2, 3, or 4 respectively ultimate coolants. And the rest of the spots with neutron rods. The one with 3 coolants I made as a test is getting me 21.291B/T, with heat, and the 5qa nefastium upgrade. Whenever you feel like active play it goes- row 1: ultimate coolant every other row 2: empty Row 3: blank, then coolant every other one Repeat... Last row, now use your brain here, on the last couple rows your going to have a few ultmate plates, a bunch of capacitors, and a lot of nuetron rods, how much of each depends on your upgrads. Then fill it up and carefully heat it up. This should work with whatever coolants, capacitors, and fuel you can afford for going super fast, if you're careful. For long term, it still looks like 3 fans per double nefastium is the best.

Under rating threshold (show) Interesting interaction that may affect the heat outlets. Just testing around the beginning of the game, one T1 Outlet connected to 2 1x Upgraded Heat Vents (Both venting 8h/t). Two double uraniums (each producing 8, for a total of 16 into the reactor). All logic points to this equaling out, however the outlet is putting 16 h/t into each heat vent instead of 8 into each or 16 into one. Where is this extra 8 h/t coming from?

Developer response from Cael

I do feel bad whenever something like this happens, because it does tend to happen fairly frequently, but I'm not willing to stop development on the game because of it. You have my condolences. The eventual goal is to get the game in a balanced state and no longer need changes like this.

Under rating threshold (show) Suggestions: - Hover over a unit to view current heat flow rate from adjacent units in the top field, so that we can more easily measure if, say, a vent can handle another fuel cell. - Make the unit category title line into category selection buttons/tabs instead of using a separate line for "previous/next page" - Upgrades- and Options buttons could similarly share a line
