Is there a way to stop the automatic refilling of the cells? Because I want to be able to switch them without basically wasting money to delete the refilled cells first.

There Needs to be a space upgrade, and maybe a fun little thing of when your reactor blows up, you get a message saying how much damge you caused and a fine. While a single uranium cell melting down a reactor would cause a little pop, with a fine of $5, a Reactor full of Nefastium blowing up would do a whole lot more.

once I use a heat ex changer, the heat generated becomes random and changes after every tick, I don't know if its my computer or if its google chrome or if its any other variable but its making it unplayable for me. I'm giving four stars, If I can play it without problems I will give it five.

I agree with the prevailing thought that Heat Exchangers need to scale respective to the rest of the gear. or at least have more levels. power output of a tier 5 cell is so great that one cannot be surrounded in coolant those coolants linked to 3 exchangers each and then in turn all connected to heat sinks so that the coolants do not explode. I could understand not making the exchange rate from cells to heat exchangers so great it makes the concept of where to place things easier, but maybe enhancing the heat rate exchange between coolant and heat exchangers. or if possible make the absorption rate of the coolants higher from cells or its dispersal rate quicker through heat exchangers, or even give it additional ticks per second between the two could potentially compensate without ruining the rest of the mechanics.

Since so many people want a sandbox mode or a way to test reactors. This is a tip on how you can do that. Step one: Open your game. Step 2: Open a new tab. Step 3: Copy the web adress from the game and paste it into the second tab. Step 4: Experiment to your hearts content then close the second page without losing any progress on the original.

Suggestion: A toggle for "cool down periods" to use exchangers to pull more heat from coolant cells, and direct heat to vents/reactor.
And an "Active period" where exchangers act normally balancing heat between all adjacent compnents, and more oft pulling heat from reactor and dumping into coolants/vents.

I'm going to double post. Sorry but I feel like it's extremely needed. This one is the post to my reactor for when I go to bed. Purely Idle since I don't have the auto replenish Nefastium cell upgrade. http://tinypic.com/r/dcfqmd/8

Idea / Suggestion: Have the chronometers toggleable, in case you are attempting a rebuild of your layout and wanting to have time to react to any mishaps.

I wish we had a "test room" that we could set up small scale reactors in to see if design changes would explode a reactor before we install the change.

Agree'd on SA1991's comment.. Even as such, there being an adjacent tile with 0 heat (vents), it should be trying to balance that more effectively, along with the high storage capacity of coolants 180b in the case of the final cooling cell easily holding onto 30-90b after hours of "cool down period(no active reactors)" Also a curiosity, not 100% sure if exchangers work similarly on "top" and bottom of course only seems to eject/absorb reactor heat, but will also melt certain components. Haven't quite figure out if since it's then "direct" heat to melt components if it's worth having a vent on the underside of an exchanger. Also, reactors seem to disperse "direct" heat in all directions except diagonally, however an exchanger will acquire extra (direct) heat from being on a diagonal in closer proximity to an active reactor.. not sure if this is intentional.

Also, could you modify the reactor overheat effects? It's a real pain when you go 1 heat over the limit and all your expensive capacitors immediately explode.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Please make settings for the exchangers or something similar, so you can make dedicated reactor coolers, as it is it only balances reactor and and exchanger heat so the reactor never actually reaches zero. Please do something so that reactors that are not gaining any heat from outside sources will only disperse heat and won't just balance it.

For some reason, whenever something overheats and gets replaced, it causes most of my capacitors to stop working, making it more or less reach max capacity in a few seconds, then completely drain a moment later.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Unless I am missing something, vents get incredibly inefficient later on; so it becomes best to use only 3 things - cooling cells, quad cells, and massive quantities of capacitors. Which is a bit boring.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Idea- The capacitors are kind of under powered. It would be nice if the upgrades increased them more. Maybe have the 3rd or 4th one do 3 times or 4 time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
idk why so many people are asking for auto replacement of reflectors. 2 million ticks is nearly 20 hours with 4 cells attached to it and all tick upgrades. over 3 days with only 1 powercell on it.

Heat Exchangers either need a massive buff, or they need to have a talent set to increase the amount of heat they're capable of transferring. Once you get the best coolant cells, they're storing billions of heat at a time, while the best Heat Exchangers can only move a little less than 500k at a time.

found a glitch with the new upgrades, if you put a ton of reactor plating and have the vents be able to be put next to the cells, (i have one vent next to a nefastium cell with three reflectors next to it and it cools itself) all you need to do is build up some heat by placing down a cell, removing it after you acqiure a good amount of heat, then it dosnt go down, effectively having a permanent power boost to whatever upgrades you have.

Please change the icon for the new energy bonus for heat upgrades, I thought they only applied to that one cell that the image shows, not all of them. Way to easy to confuse this.

Any chance the game could progress your income while you're offline? I don't particularly want to be on the computer all day tbh :P
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I have two suggestions now for the dev. 1: try and create a build using quad Nefastium and get a stable idle income higher than 556 mil/tick (I am missing 3 nef efficiency upgrades and one fission upgrade) that is easier to sustain. 2:since reflectors don't increase heat output anymore could you make them useable in more builds by making them, and only them, operate in 8 directions? Thank you for reading this. ^_^

@Crackker (and others who've posted the same) As you say, we "always WANT to be shedding the highest amount of heat possible", but that's not how heat transfer works works IRL is it? (Look up Newton's law of cooling etc.) I think the game makes a good attempt at simulating this, which is one of the key differences between how it works and and the other 999 (or is it 9999?) idle games here. Any change that makes heat exchangers work in a simplified and 'magical' way will break what's good about this game IMO.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Currently Heat Exchangers work to balance the heat among all the components, but that's not efficient. What they need to do is prioritize heat distribution based on incoming heat. When there's heat coming in, they need to prioritize Heat Vents > Coolant Cell > Itself > Reactor. When there's no heat coming in they should be prioritizing Heat Vents > Itself > Reactor > Coolant Cell. You always want to be shedding the highest amount of heat possible, and you can't do that when all the components are balancing the heat between the massive heat sinks of the Coolant Cell vs. the considerably smaller safe heat levels of the reactor.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Actually the heat exchangers are way too underpowered. They need to be 10 time as effective (and expensive of course) to become useful. Otherwise they are just in the beginning of the game a bit useful for cooling a large uranium or thorium matrix indirectly over the reactor itself.

Would really like to be able to temporarily slow ticks/sec. Once the time upgrades are purchased, one wrong move and you have no time to react. Perhaps just to turn the clock upgrades off at will? Right-click and upgrade to disable/enable?

Should get some money back from Fuel Cells when they still have charge, that way we have an option to save ourselves if the reactor starts to overheat, without losing much progress. I'd also like to see a heat projection chart/line graph reflecting the current fuel load, or some other efficiency measuring tool other than watching the heat value fluctuate wildly.

This is the highest pure idle set-up i could get without the graphene capacitors upgrade, It's just over 300mil/tick but with the graphene upgrade this becomes 600mil/tick.

Just some ideas: It'd be great if there were more options for cooling and such (atm the coolant cells are just overpowered, makes the ventilation nonsense), also maybe a grid xpand feature and some gameplay orientation towards building energy / ventilation "circuits" would add versatility and make it a lot funnier.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You should make them able to connect diagonally as well. Seeing as heat travels in all directions and disperses evenly.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A little idea that I just had was basically when selling depleted cells, we get something like 1% of the original cost of the cell.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For convenience, it would be nice to see a total count of all components of each type currently in use. Perhaps that can be one of the menu tabs that pauses the game like the Options or Upgrades tabs.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You need a "sell all" button or at least some kind of pause to select some parts to sell... otherwise if you just click through you loose everything... got over 100 pieces all over the map and wanted to clear a corner.... wrong order and everything blew up.... even it it was just a seccond...
