Under rating threshold (show) Unless I'm really missing something, you simply cannot use double or quad nefastium: Heat Exchangers can exchange max 1.5m heat when adjacent to a fuel cell. So with heat exchange you can cool at best 6m/tick (assuming you have a place to exchange to) Passive exchange through the reactor is also limited to heat exchange, so that's already not an option for 24m heat of double nefarium (=200 heat exchangers...really XD) And last Heat Vents, with the best cooling capacity (especially if you upgrade using shields) can maybe get you to 4 or 5m per vent, which still is not enough for double nefarium 23+m heat. At best you can get single nefarium going, I got up to 550M-ish power/tick Auto-sold. For double or quad, you just don't provide enough upgrade options

Under rating threshold (show) I have a full screen of Quad Thorium Cells (9k heat), runs fine. If i fill the space with Seaborgium Cells (6.94k heat) my reactor melts... how can this be? Could you clarify the heat generation for stacked cells without spaces?

Under rating threshold (show) There really needs to be some way to pause the ticks, or at least slow them. You can easily melt down from simple completely fixable mistakes just because you don't have enough time. Even lowering the ticks/sec back to 1 would help a lot.

Under rating threshold (show) For easy "start over" just hold ctrl while right clicking the buildings to sell all of that type. Good advise: start with the Cells first to prevent awesome fireworks from happening ;)

Under rating threshold (show) I need some componants that conver power to money... my total power capacity is about 12B. and auto converting rate is 710M$ per tick. I have been used 185 capacitor that is full upgraded and highest tier. I have to convert power to money manually if I want to earn more money per tick.

Under rating threshold (show) One big thing I'd love is a way to send heat in a specific direction. At the higher tiers there's just way too much heat to use fans anymore, and destroying ice packs is repetitive, it'd be nice to be able to deliberately concentrate the heat (and then obviously destroy cooling packs or other devices). A way to see how much heat is travelling in what directions would be nice as well, but that might be harder to make.

Under rating threshold (show) Really to have the whole heat exchangers/reactor/vents thing working properly you should just read some basic thermodynamics. The way it works now is NOT how it works IRL and that's why it seems odd.

Under rating threshold (show) The newest patch seems to be bugged. With a Single Nefastium Cell (2.893 Mil heat) surrounded by 4 x Coolant cell (Taking 723,25K each), linked into 2 heat exchangers each (925,92K of exchange) linked into fans that have more than enough ventilation, it just causes the coolant cells to rapidly fill up when the setup should be able to take care of all the heat.

Under rating threshold (show) I think an indication of how much heat vent is taking in the heat would be a good idea. I am not sure if my vents far end is being efficient or not. This feature could take away more performance though.

Under rating threshold (show) So i have been trying to make one quad nefastium cell work for couple of hour now and best thing I've come up with is : SPOILER ALERT http://i.snag.gy/WhdLH.jpg And still i don't like it because coolants in the middle are still filling up and i think that there is no more efficient way to remove heat from them then i did so is it impossible to run best cell without repurchasing coolants manually or am I missing something?

Under rating threshold (show) I seem to have tapped out at ~393M per tick. A major limiting factor is the capacitance and resulting auto-sell of power. 2/3 of my reactor space is Ultimate Capacitor. :( I don't have all the upgrades yet, so I can go a little higher, but I begin to suspect that there is a hard limit somewhere around 1B per tick.

Under rating threshold (show) Quick suggestion: Update the heat/power info on MO for adjacent fuel cells. Can be confusing to keep track of how much heat any configuration is producing at a time, especially when sharing vents.

Under rating threshold (show) Ignoring Coolants, the maximum power production seems to be about 340M/tick ~2.4B/s Enormously bottlenecked by the heat at higher production, I'm currently at Quad Dolorium where it's gotten quite slow... But I'm just stubborn about not liking coolants!

Under rating threshold (show) Kainic, that's not weird. It's one of the upgrades that you can purchase. It's near the bottom, on the left side of the upgrades chart. Better types of plating increase the vent rates more than weaker plating.

Under rating threshold (show) @joker3681 there is one big problem with that setup, there is no way to put enough capacitors to sell your energy. judging by how much your single cell is outputting, you will end up with 350-ish million per tick. 2 options that i see are to use fewer cells and more capacitors or click the sell button a ton

I was surprised about this myself: It turns out silver is actually a better conductor of heat and electricity than gold. Gold is just used more because it corrodes less. So pretend that the cost of the silver upgrades factors that in.

Under rating threshold (show) 55 single Nefastium reactor blueprint, automated. Just fill every empty slot with cell. 2 T5 Heat Vents, full upgraded, along with 80 T5 Platings, can drain out all the heat made from 1 single Nefa. Under rating threshold (show) at this time I actually hate using shift-left clicking for replacing all components with another because if you cant afford to replace all your current components in the reactor, the ones you cant afford to replace wind up getting sold off and being left with an empty space.

Under rating threshold (show) I wonder what kind of layouts others are using. My best approach seems to be with using a big area with (V)ents and (E)xchangers: VEVEVEVE EVEVEVEV VEVEVEVE And on a separate area stacking cells until it's reaching the limits of heatventing. Maybe we should get a subreddit for discussing different strategies.

Under rating threshold (show) Make it so shift click will normally replace, for instance replace coolant cells or reflectors with the same level. Something else to fix is that you can't replace fuel cells between tiers, you have to sell and the place again.

Under rating threshold (show) Ralkai, the thing is that when you bought the powerline upgrade, which sells x% of your total max power, and you make less than what the auto sell sells, your power will not go up because the auto sell is just selling all the power for you instead. Lets say i have 50m max power and i sell 3% of it every tick, which is 1.5m, whenever i make less than 1.5m my power does not go up because it is already sold by the auto sell, but when i produce over 1.5m, the power will be put in my power bar.
