No. the heat should be only able to go into the vents, cooling cells, or heat exchangers. The description does say the outlets remove heat for each adjacent object

Where is the excess 100 mil (roughly) heat going? My reactor is sitting constant at 0

I think i figured out what th infinty sign is for. when you have enough money, you can buy an upgrade to replace empty fuel cells so it becomes idle game, and that is the option to turn it off

I really like your idea to change the heat exchangers with inlets and outlets. Though I don't see why someone would want to use the inlets, maybe for getting that % bonus when reactor heat is high, but great idea anyway!

Ultimately, the game comes down to how well you utilize heat vents. You can screw around with hiding heat in the reactor via platings, or in coolant cells, but those are just temporary solutions. Heat vent is pretty much the only way to get rid of heat altogether.

How about a tutorial showing how the parts are meant to interconnect? Does direction matter? This is too sandboxy and we literally get no direction at all out of the gate. It's not intuitive, and it simply isn't compelling enough for me to bother researching how you intended the game to work in order to get "good" at it. With more clarity up front, I'd probably have played a little longer.

I think it's mistake both from gameplay and simulationism viewpoint to separate heat and energy. Energy cells should produce just heat, then you use other elements to covert some of that heat into usable energy and safely dispose what you can't use.

Suggestion - Mouse over on the power cells are showing the upgraded power from upgrades, how about a current power & heat generation so that we can see it's actual heat output for experimental configurations?

idea / suggestion: vhen you update, emty the reaktor for heat, that way people dont get meltdown as fast and only need to reheat the reaktor, and not rebuild. hope that and easy way to stop update meltdown.

Would be nice with a way to in a controlled way increase the temperature of the reactor up to a certain point. IC2's reactors had a component that as long as the temperature was below a set amount it produced X amount of heat. Considering that its borderline impossible to achieve an equilibrium (Due to no exact Delta Heat value) it would be nice to be able to compensate for some minor heat loss. I'm within 12.8k from getting a stable heat reaction but without a way to insert a specific amount of heat there's no way I can maintain it on its own.

Soo, the Ultimate Heat outlet is cooling reactor, and trasfering heat to what?? cause i found out that i can just put outlets and cool everything i want without any adjacent components, so, this is how they ought to work? i don't think so :P

actually ignore when i said there is work around. If you get enough max level plating you can make the vents cool over 5.12m and just put them right next to outlets which eliminates heat exchangers from being needed

The instantaneously destruction of everything makes it very hard to plan new designs. I place a bunch of stuff, press play, *boom*, lost everything including capacitors and plates.
I would much prefer that I just stopped getting any power for a while or some warning before everything explodes. I don't even know why everything is exploding, it happens so fast.

The update made heat exchanger and platings obsolete. I have 3/4 of the board filled with a chessboard-arrangement of reactors and reflectors and the bottom with Vent5-Outlet4-Vent5 blocks, running at 9M heat/tick. Soon i will replace all vents by a couple of throwaway coolant cells and will have even more room for reactors and almost no limit on heat production

outlets are broken, they cant store heat, but they receive it from other outlets anyway, so you build 5x5 grid of tier 3 outlets and it sends more than 1M of heat from reactor right into blackhole

The biggest problem now that I can see is that heat vents can very easily get rid of more heat than they can store. Therefore Heat exchangers will not output the full amount of heat to each vent but if they did the vent would explode due to it';s low capacity. If the plating increased the capacity size than this problem would be fixed. The exchangers would be able to give more heat to the vents than they can get rid of and they won't explode. Currently the solution to this problem is too.... Wait there isn't a good work around.
