i have an idea make an upgrade in which there is a better chronometer plus or something and it doubles the the ticks per second and cost a base 100 EP to get and can stack for faster things please

What's up with negative prestige? If I click Prestige it says will give me negative amount of prestige I had. Clicking it actually didn't remove any prestige I had. But also didn't give any. At the progress level I was it was supposed to give a few prestige points, maybe 2k -3k.

needs to be able to tell you how much heat you can get rid of each tick maxiumu rather than just how much you are currently losing. that way you know how close you are to the limit and dont place 1 extra reactor and total meltdown before you can react.

After my first prestiege for 321 particles, it seems that direct cooling became MUCH more feasible and rendered my need for inlets/outlets unneeded until protium.

good update with extra parts. i have used some of the experimental fuels and think the protium runs out far too quick. I also left the game running overnight with around 8 ticks a second and a monastium cell was only just about to run out by the time i woke up. also i found indirect cooling to be much more effective than direct cooling for maximizing power production. looking forward to the next update

one small idea what if you added a sort of negative heat so basically cold air you could produce it then store it then use it for more powerful cells + if you think this could be cool

The unlockable components have clever special effects that keep the game interesting, but there's a big issue with heat dispersion once you get there. In order to handle the power, you need the extreme capacitor. In order to handle the extreme capacitor's heat, your only option is putting extreme coolant cells around them. Since you cannot remove heat from extreme coolant cells (and even if you could, there are no vents or other ways of transferring heat that are fast enough), your only option is to replace them as they burn out (which is rather quickly).
Perhaps add increasingly high capacity for them as they burn out (much like protium cells) to make them less annoying? Or add something so we can handle the heats at that tier, like plating and inlets capable of supporting heat in the quads.

The extra ticks per second upgrade really is a double-edged sword. It'd be great if there was a way to turn it on/off once you buy it, that way you could slow down time to upgrade things and not have to worry about the ten ticks per second instantly causing a meltdown. >_>

I'd like to see power and heat split up, because the rods in a reactor don't produce "power", only heat that's transfered through heat exchangers to vaporize water, powering steam turbines.

I'm not gonna restart till the prestige I would get is placed back in the positives. Also, the Offline-mode needs fixed. SERIOUSLY!!! Why is the offline-accumulation not working anymore?

@Pankii - I found some accidental shortcut using Shift. Shift+RightClick = Sell all identical items. Shift+LeftClick = Upgrade/Change identical cells (Heat sinks, Energy cells of the same type, etc). This does do wonders and I can't recall seeing it in the description anywhere. Makes setting up and upgrading heat sinks and restarting whole sections much easier.

It'd be nice to have more control over the exchangers. Specifically it'd be cool to have the ability to create one-way exchangers that only output heat in one direction while taking from the others. It's input power would need to be nerfed to compensate for having the reduced ability to take out power, but it'd be helpful for creating coolant cores that funnel into a fan array. As is, it's difficult to get heat out of the coolant cells and into the fans without making them rather close to each other in a flower formation.

game needs to sort out its balance managed to get to top of high scores quickly due to the opness of the first experimental quad cell which causes you to gain so many exotics for one and then u focus on 3 more upgrades which increase the amount then eventually you break the game because it gets so high

Have you ever thought about making this mobile? I would love to get this on my iPad. Actually, I bet a lot of the people playing this would love to see the mobile version of this too. This game really is awesome though, there aren't many idle games that get my attention like this one does.

@elegysix - How much is their max heat for each part? I've had huge failures when the max heat is less than 3x the dissipation rate. Also dissipating heat on all 4 sides is difficult (although not impossible), i've had much better success doing 2 sides rather than 4, unless i'm pumping straight into heat sinks.

there seems to be a math issue - if my outlet puts 55B into each of the 4 surrounding vents, and each vent is surrounded by 4 outlets, then my vent's heat should increase by 4*55B=220B per tick. Therefore one would assume the vent must lower its own heat by atleast 220B per tick to avoid overheating, however - my vents only lower themselves by 81B, and are not gaining heat.... what is going on?

this games needs a little chaos - have a very small % chance every tick that a random part will fail and burn up on its own. :D

Ihave -58000 prestige all of a sudden, it seems that i either have to generate all of the negative prestige to even out the score or start over from the beginning and hard-resetting the game and prestige. bummer either way. otherwise a splendid game! I can't wait for the elaboration or next instalment. (witch hopefully contain fail-safe switches and maybe multiple labs with an collective energy budget and another hope/maybe more upgrading features available with the different labs, either different specialities or evolving labs in different tiers. just a suggestion and great wish! thanks for this fine game!

I know it's rude to double-post, but Kongregate doesn't offer a way to alter previous posts. Two things: First, a modification upon kNIGHT0wl's original idea with the slider: allow us to manually parse through the frames. what this means is that, when the reaction's paused, we can hiut a key and it'll advance the simulation by one tick. Second: For all you mid-game players (and quite possibly early, haven't tested) Here's my big contribution: a cooling system that doesn't rely on either exotic particles OR direct contact. In this case, X=vent and O=outlet.

basically, what this does is it pipes immense amounts of heat right through the reactor in less than one tick. the only precaution needed is some plating in the event of an overload.

When placing large amounts of fuel cells (as I do often with my setup,) I find it a time consuming process to manually place every one. To this end, I suggest that 'flood-fill' option be added. merely click and drag to select multiple cells.

I find that the coolant cells are unused. They don't really provide anything that I need in my reactors. Also the game becomes quite repetitive after a few prestiges. All I do is get to the Monastium and just wait until I get enough EP to make it worthwhile to prestige. The interesting part is to see the qualities of the new cells.

This is awesome. hands down. As a physicist, I implore you to provide more details -- i.e. show heat transfer coefficients for the heat exchangers
