Under rating threshold (show) Upvote so people can see: Prestiging clears your entire reactor and takes all your money, in exchange for giving you exotic particles. You need a minimum of 51 exotic particles to get anything useful for your new run.

Under rating threshold (show) I kind of would have liked a warning that "prestiging" would get rid of my reactor and all money and all upgrades. Either this is a massive bug or something I should have been warned of.

Under rating threshold (show) I'm a bit confused with getting Exotic Particles... It said that you earn based on a combination of total power created and heat dissipated... Does it require that I dissipate heat from the reactor? I get 15T per tick and I still don't have any particles that I can get if I choose to prestige... Am I missing something?

Under rating threshold (show) Its allways interesting to see how many people don't think, when they hit a button. When you don't take the 5 minutes to read or ask, what it means, take at least the responsibility for your actions and don't complain for your own lazyness.

Under rating threshold (show) @scorchx I have not. However, I now understand. Everything should be fine then. I was at the late end game with double Nef and would have been waiting for days for my next upgrades.

Under rating threshold (show) Anmljd: I take it you've never played a game that uses a prestige system before? In games like this, prestiging resets your game and unlocks additional upgrades, such as Call of Duty unlocks better weapons and rank bonuses, this game can unlock better upgrades.

Under rating threshold (show) @Cael: What exactly is meant by "heat dissipated"? Does it include heat which is directly dissipated by adjacent vents or must it be dissipated from the reactor itsself?

+ - !

(3)

Developer response from Cael

This refers to heat removed either by the reactor's passive cooling, or by your vents.

Under rating threshold (show) Upgrades for Heat Exchangers also apply to Inlets/Outlets. Should be made more obvious. Inlets and Cooling cells seem very useless to me, as any heat goes to the reactor anyways.

Under rating threshold (show) http://imgur.com/gallery/0s2J92z is one upgrade old. I added another double nef with 4 vents bottom center, but 1/4th of its gain does not auto sell. At 10Qi an upgrade I about done with this game since I turn my machine off overnight.

Under rating threshold (show) In the end outlets will be nearly useless as well, because their rate is so low. As soon as your vents exceed 4*outlet rate you cna be sure that you no longer need to upgrade them, ebcause they will no longer become any more useful when you upgrade them.

Under rating threshold (show) Suggestion: allow capacitors and plates to bolster the maximum heat capacity by 0.5% per level (appears to be nil right now, correct me if i'm wrong) so that vents can actually hold up to what they are able to vent! lol

Under rating threshold (show) Cooling cells become almost completely useless later, because since everything mutates into an idle game, a stupid little fuel cell will last for hour and produce hundreds of times the heat any cooling cell could handle.

Under rating threshold (show) Tip: When putting vents next to heat outlets, putting down more capacitors to make the vents stronger may also make the heat outlets pull out more heat. So you will likely need heat exchangers leading to more vents. Also, don't just look at how much heat the vent can get rid of per tick. Look at how much heat they can hold, and put down more plating if it isn't enough. (This is assuming that you have the upgrades that let plating strengthen other components.)

Under rating threshold (show) @twoarmy link? If you can successfully sell that idly, you have more upgrades than most posters! For the last few days, all of the posted designs have been 11-15 dual neft cells (equiv to 33-45 single neft) due to capacitor idle sell limit.

Under rating threshold (show) As bizarre as this strategy sounds, I've had luck using heat outlets to take heat out of the reactor, then putting fans (vents) around them, then putting heat inlets around the fans to prevent the fans from overheating.

Under rating threshold (show) After reaching both 10Qi upgrades, I'm in the same place as Kohlenstoff. 15 Dual Neft cells. Optimal power output for my upgrades would be 24 dual neft cells and 4 vents but, I need at least 241 capacitors (my current total) to sell the power I do make.

Under rating threshold (show) @jmostdef, @emcew, you probably placed your cell adjacent to another cell. Post by fresh_fish explaining (250 posts ago): Here's my guess: For Quad Dolorium cell itsown, it acts as 4 single cells placed in 2x2 pattern, each cell in it receives 2 more pulses from adjacent cells and has total 3 pulses per tick, therefore the total heat is 227M*(3*3)*4 = 8.17B. When you place Quad Dolorium cells in a line, each Quad cells receives 2*4 pulses from adjacent quad cells, each cell inside Quad cells receives 8/4 = 2 more pulses per tick, so the total heat produced is 227M*(5*5)*4 = 22.7B.
