Wow, this upgrade really broke everything I had... First all the Nefastium cells I bought just before refreshing were spent and I had to buy them again. Then, When I "prestiged" for 72 prestige points, I lost everything. Not only my reactor design, but all the money (about 150 Qa). I happened again when I prestiged later - so if it is a feature, I did not find a warning about it beforehand

Cael, nice work on yet another update/idea. I like the idea of the prestige, to force people to start over and get creative. I also like the idea of Research Points (Exotic Particles here). It would seem that people don't understand what prestige means, when you prestige ALL of your current progress RESETS but you get exotic partials which are used for permanent upgrades that last through prestige.

Should be possible to downgrade some upgrades. My Ultimate Heat Outlet is taking more 4x more heat than the Ultimate Fan (118B versus 33B), thats after upgrading the efficiency of conductors. That annoyed me as i hate using conductors.
Please allow downgrade, or simple select the level of the ugrade, like with 2 buttons to level up or down (but without losing money if you have the upgrade)

This should probably be considered a bug. While the reactor is paused, you can manually vent heat and sell power. Selling power isn't a big deal, but being able to pause after a single tic, vent all heat, unpause, and repeat probably isn't an intended gameplay mechanic.

@sirgillius: you seem to not know what prestige mode means, do you?
It means you lose all your current progress, but you gain something, that boosts your next progress.

We need a way to see the stats that affect exotic particles so we know what to focus on. Also important is some way to tell what counts as "heat dissipated" (for example, if I fill my reactor with plates and then let a quad nefastium blow it up, does the subsequent cooling off count? does it count when I manually clear heat by clicking for -100 Qa? or does it only count for heat that is naturally burnt off in a non-blown/blowing up reactor?)

Heat max and heat dissipation values should update while paused so you know your reactor wont blow up the second you unpause.

A way to move items automatically within the reactor could be a cool addition, such as by using conveyor belts or pistons, this linked with some sort of detection system, perhaps to check the heat of a coolant cell, would really be a cool way to make some pretty awesome designs.

If the prestige bonuses are permanent upgrades, then it's well worth resetting as far as I'm concerned. I like the first little one, straight up one extra power upgrade to all cell types. I restarted, and within about an hour and a half, I am back up to the billions. Can't wait to get more of those particles and see if I can get to the point of earning them within the first ten minutes of reset.

I am severely pissed that that prestige button reset my game. I 100 quad money and had not restarted my reactor since the updates so I lost everything and got no prestige for it.

ugh.. one little miss click and the entire factory blows up.... has happened several times.... good game but I'm tired of spending a boatload of money on fans, then placing power producers one square off and dropping down to 1/10000 of the money I had invested (this is if I'm lucky)

I am not seeing this prestige button... I loaded the game, I have over 15qi. I let it build to 16 thinking that maybe it was starting the growth of prestige from the time I loaded it, and nothing.

Post prestige restart tips : Heat outlets surrounded by vents and solid block of power cells in some corner are the best way to rapidly level up. WARNING! Make sure your outlets are not stronger then your vents!

Do exotic particles requirement counted per run or grand total? i.e. The first exotic particles on next run earn at 1T or ??T as last run at.

"You earn exotic particles based on a combination of total power created and heat dissipated (Specifically, the lower of the two.) You will earn your first exotic particle at 1T, your second at 3T, your third at 6T, etc. It’s a triangular progression. " seems like the unit is Qa not T;(

Not sure what's happened, but I bought the Plutonium auto refill upgrade.
Now the power level isn't filling up at all, and nothing is auto refilling.
Any help / ideas??

I think you really need to let us see our stats, total money and heat dissipation specifically. It's nice for the player, and should make any bugs regarding the values much easier for you to catch. Another question is whether the heat dissipated counts heat that never reaches the reactor (as should be the case in any stable setup)

I am curious about this heat dissipated thing because I run 16 double nefastium cells that are vented directly and gaining 0 exotic particles. Does this mean that because my design lets no heat go to the reactor and puts out loads of money I am being punished?

Idea For Exotic Particles:Maybe make them give an buff by themselfes,like an +10% power increase per each exotic particle maybe?they feel sorta,useless,by themselfes.

Outlets are useless if you upgrade them too much. Idealy they should transfer as much as the vents can vent or a little less. Many interesting setups are closed to me due to vents exploding and exchangers taking too much place.

yea the new particles sistem works on total made so it might be convenient to produce em for a few days before reseting.

Wow that reset my game and appears to have given me nothing... and here I may have been the top producer. What an odd button. Guess I'm starting over. Many will not be so forgiving.
