well the effects of that update took me by surprise. I replaced the fuel cells, and instantly maxxed out on heat and had a meltdown. huh. Back to the drawing board

Hey, did anyone notice the amount produced increases by a less percentage each time? first time, 100%, second, 50%, 3, 25%, and so on.

There's a big issue with the current design. With the new in/outlets which pay no attention to the amount of heat in the reactor there's no way to make a stable reactor without venting all the heat thus making the Forceful Fission upgrade useless. The only way is to leave heat at some point but I think it's unintended (IMO reactor should vent about 0.1% of its current heat to even make such builds invalid).
What allowed such reactors in earlier game builds is a module which balanced heat between the reactor and something else (itself e.g.) by percentage. The best way to fix this (I'm aware of) is to make in/outlets a bit more smart. Inlets should take heat only from modules which have more heat than the reactor. Outlets should put heat only into modules which have less than the reactor. Everything by percentage of course.

As said many times: Vents vent heat amount per second but cells make heat per tick. Meaning that your vent effectivity is divided by tick amount...doesnt make any sense

Oh, i see, they nerfed heatpipes again aparently. Either that or my bonusses arent working. For the time being i downgrade the game to 1/5 like it downgraded my experience.

Game turned to completely buggy. Heatpipes are sabotaged again. Maybe developers should read up about stability of numerical systems. (Protip: transfer at max for less than 1/4th of "temperature" (=percentage) difference.

Going from idle 5 nefa (2.7/tick) to 6 (3/tick) seems to be really difficult. The 60Qa Improved Heat Vents is not enough, aiming right now at the 100Qa Active Vents in order to try to make it fully idle (it is not right now).

I optimized the cooling circuit. Now it can hold 3.5 - 4.2 Trillions per second (depending on upgrade!). When you build it, dont install all cells, let 2 places in the middle empty, when you don't have the 100 Quadrillion upgrade. Shouldn't the developer be testing these updates before uploading them? Heat vents only venting 1/8 of what it says they should seems to be an extremely obvious bug. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes to notice something like that.

I like the new upgrade structure!
Given the abundance of new upgrade-room, I think the next logical addition would be 'infinite' neutron reflectors, so you don't have to re-place them in any design that uses them.

my usual setup is one power cell next to a coolant cell. can we get the coolant auto-replaced IF we have the power required so it does not blow up and I dont have to manage it manually?

It looks like vents are working per second, not per tick. So since I get 8 ticks per second, the vents need to be 8x better than listed in order to keep up...

The LEVEL OF HEAT ON THIS THING! GOD!!! I mean, SERIOUSLY!!! With my rig, I can't idle for ONE STUPID SECOND WHILE TH- exuse me while I fix a proble- ........... Nevermind, good thing I had 210 trillion leftover in insurance, anyways, I can't idle for ONE STUPID SECOND, WITHOUT EVERYTHING SCREAMING IN RED!!! It is just plain Fruustraaiiitiiiing!!! And not only that, I finally got to nefastium before, only to find that this update essentially made nefastium death by nuclear ultra meltdown, I can't place even one of those things without an ultra complex rig, but in order to make that, I'd have to clear my current design, which is producing more power than one rod of nefastium says it can.

This is stupid. How does this game even work anymore? My vent could lower heat by 66b per tick. Nefastium makes 52b heat per tick. I had FOUR vents around the nefastium (because I had a feeling it would mess up) and it still blew up. I'm changing the rating to a 1/5 until the dev stops breaking the game with each update.

Game is still bugged... Heat Exchangers are not working well - my one says it can exchange up to 49B each tick. I have 4 of them = 4x49 = 196B of heat can be transferred from Power Cell. 1 Nefastium Cell produces 50B of heat. 8 Heat Vents (each 13B cooling power) = 104B of cooling power. What is wrong? Building "star" - in the middle 1 single Nefastium Cell and next in + sign Heat Exchaners and another level of Vents CAN NOT HOLD IT.... numbers are wrong, that is all I wanted to say...

As it stands now, the game gets stale - you figure out the best layout, you build it, and then... there's nothing to think about until the next balance patch. Maybe a pattern of daily challenges would help? Things like unusual reactor grids (unbuildable tiles, tiles with modifiers like increased power or heat production, etc.), or only having specific components available, or a limited budget, or puzzles like that.

To everyone commenting about vents. Currently vents remove heat at 1/8th what is written. So if it says 80b per tick lowered it will only actually do 10b. Once you know this with a little math you can effectively use them again

I don't believe it's possible to make more money with the double and quadripple Nefastium then with the single. I have 6 single Nefastiums and the rest of my generator room is completely filled with Capacitators, vents and Heat exchangers. I am making a cool 2.6T per tick now.

The developer seems a bit inexperienced to me, still nice try, but rapid major build change is quite not comfortable to most users. The really good idea helps a lot though, both game and developer needs polish but chance to shine are good. 4/5

The venting machines have inapropiate description about lowering heat, actually i must use 6 for one nefastium single cell produce ~52B heat and every one vent teoretically lower it by ~78B.

Funny stuff after refreshing... ult heat exchangers are 86/336B, but the bar is all red,like they are about to blow. And ult cooling cell act like a vent, heat oscilating about few T and not going either up nor down. But im not complaining, mayby there is a way to abuse this :D

i also had to restart because my reactor instantly blew up after i replaced all my old cells after making sure my vent fans could hold the heat, which they did in theory, but not in practice, due to the numbers not accurately reflecting actual values.

vent upgrades don't work, restarted after last update....tooltip says increases basic vent fan by 100% (from 4 to 8) but double uranium cell (which says generates 8 heat per tick) is still overdoing the "upgraded" vent fan by 4 per tick, additionally, the same vent fan with the same tooltip and upgrade, can only stand 4 single uranium cells surrounding it (4 heat per tick) when you place a 5th cell adjacent to a single it starts stacking heat in the fan.
